Shukenzero Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 It looks so hawt! This baby needs to drop and it needs to drop now! Quote
Saburo Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 The VF-19 Adv is looking sexy in this pic. Can't wait to get and photograph her. Quote
Scream Man Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 The VF-19 Adv is looking sexy in this pic. Can't wait to get and photograph her. i also can't wait till you get it and photograph her. Im more psyched to play with her without the packs than with. Quote
erikos0311 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Wow, last time i saw this thread I wasn't convinced with this YF-19 looks and aesthetics , owning the Arcadia Yf-19. But with these recent pictures, Im beginning to see the light!!!!! Comparing both versions, I have to say the DX looks sleeker in comparison to the more chubbier Arcadia release. I think i like the DX's lines better but kind of scared of the transformation with prior experiences with Bandai's stuff. OH and the included fast-packs are definitely a plus!!!! Now I have to see if i can even score a pre-order on this baby.... (fingers crossed...) Quote
Chronocidal Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I can't wait to see what kind of overtechnology they've gotten a hold of that will let that front gear fit between those itty-bitty doors. Quote
spanner Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 So sexy awesome! This bird is definitely gonna be staying in fighter mode with the super packs fitted! Quote
MikeRoz Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Really wish someone would post a fighter mode pic that captured the intakes from beneath. Looks great from above though. Quote
Sildani Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Something I just noticed - did the 19 always have the cannon on either side of the torso, or was that a modification done to the ADVANCE? Are they cannon at all? Quote
aaajin Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) The original 19 design has those "cannons" on the sides that were also incorporated in Yamato's and Arcadia's toys. I may be wrong but I dont think those are cannons. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13433 Edited May 31, 2015 by aaajin Quote
M'Kyuun Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Love, love, love all the tampo; that said, those intake markings look too large and garish for the allocated space. They could have shrunk them by about half. But, at least they're there (take notice, Arcadia). I hope the wing fairing connection point is stout enough to bear the weight of those packs in battroid without drooping. They're starting to grow on me, and I may just decide to leave them on. From the pic, looks like the gear is unpainted. They go to all the trouble to paint and tampo the snot out of her, and leave the gear bare metal. Quote

Chronocidal Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 They haven't painted a single piece of landing gear on any of the 1/60 Macross stuff. Like.. ever. And yet, the Hi-Metals have white gear... hmmmmm. Quote
F360 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I think Bandai just like the landing gears being metal in color. I don't own any Hi-metals other than VF-19s, but it seems bandai painted their landing gears in Silver. So it seems it's just their preference even when given the option to paint them they choose a metal paint. I understand why they are suppose to be white, but the plain metal landing gears does work pretty well on the Chogokin line, for me at least. Quote
Hikaru1234567890 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Anyone know if there is anymore PO open? Quote
Old Man Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I was able to place a pre-order at HLJ just seconds ago, but I'm not sure if it's for real or just a system hiccup... Quote
Negotiator Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 still available. sooo weird... https://secure.hlj.com/product/BAN992012/Act Quote
mechaninac Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Nice! If I didn't have one prepaid at CDJ, I'd jump on HLJ (still open as of this post); alas, I don't need 2 copies. Quote
calubin_175 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Yeap, still up. Got my second one. Not sure when to off load my other one which I pre-ordered for 26k yen before commission. Maybe I'll just keep it as an unopened grail or sell it to someone locally if I could ever find a buyer. It appears that HLJ is the only store that tends to reopen Bandai pre-order madness items a month before release. Edited June 1, 2015 by calubin_175 Quote
neoexcaliber Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) I wouldn't trust HLJ this time. Don't say I didn't warn you. I think i've become the resident naysayer. Edited June 1, 2015 by neoexcaliber Quote
Mechamaniac Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I got the following notice from YesAsia this morning. Due to a change in the manufacturer's production schedule, the expected ship out date of item Macross Frontier Movie Sayonara no Tsubasa: DX Chogokin VF-19 ADVANCE from your order has been extended to June 15, 2015. Knew that already, but nice to see they're tracking on it. Can't wait to get this sucker in hand! Quote
Sandman Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 still available. sooo weird... https://secure.hlj.com/product/BAN992012/Act Jeez this is taunting me. I'm always missing this. Quote
calubin_175 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Is the VF-19 the most popular VF of all time? Quote
Pedro2k6 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Lovely. Can't wait for July. Bro....I can't wait for June. And you have to wait for July. 😆 Edited June 1, 2015 by Pedro2k6 Quote
calubin_175 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Aside from the VF-1, it appears that the YF-19 had the most number of (re)releases in Yamato's line. Quote
derex3592 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 damn, look at the amount of Tampo on that thing! Get a frackin clue Arcadia....just sayin.. Quote

derex3592 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) whatta wanna bet the panel lines hold a wash as fantastically well as the 25's and 29's??? Edited June 1, 2015 by derex3592 Quote
Sandman Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I would've been okay if arcadia managed to tampo the intake markings. But neglecting them is a huge fail. Pics are looking awesome. Poor Isamu though. All these years and he's still hasn't been promoted to a 2(3) and 4(5) head laser unit. Quote

no3Ljm Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Bro....I can't wait for June. And you have to wait for July. It's true. It's officially gonna be released on the last week of June so basically it will be US-bound on the first week of July. Hence, can't wait for July. Unless you live next door from the Japanese shops. Well those things are mostly useful when you're being chased. Isamu's so good, he's never found the need for them, because there's never anyone on his tail for very long He only needs one. True. Knowing that Max uses 2(1J) and 4(1S). And he's better than Isamu, right? Quote
