MILKAUTICO Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Someone correct me please, according to these measures must not be 1/60 scale? Quote
cool8or Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 31 cms height means 1/72 scale. this will be very very expensive!! Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I have a 2 car garage so one car will stay outside Quote
jvmacross Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) 31 cms height means 1/72 scale. this will be very very expensive!! EXO Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 had a feeling it was going to be vinyl... almost no parting lines. no way that's 1/60, agree with c00l8or... 1/72. Quote
Pedro2k6 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I got a few question... Is this gonna be transformable? And this is not 1/60 scale? Quote
MILKAUTICO Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 31 cms height means 1/72 scale. this will be very very expensive!! Snif, snif I wanted to 1/60 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 37.5 cma height..... that hurts, hopes had Quote

Cdr Fokker Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Is this gonna be transformable? Why would it be? This is the HWR-00-MkII, not the VB-6. Quote
jvmacross Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I wonder if this is the same team that was contracted by Yamato to produce the vinyl Britai? Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 For a second, I thought someone had acquired Yamato's old Monster prototype. But eeeew, vinyl. That's probably not a good idea for those long barrels. Quote
valid Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 hum.. are you sure this is a toy? will it be transformable? T^T Quote
skullmilitia Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 It's not transformable, it's not the VB-6. It's also 22 inches long with the barrells, that should put it near 1/72nd ish.Under 100$ sure, but for something that ... not so complicated, I'm not paying resin style prices. Quote
jenius Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I'm guessing this is going to seem like an Arcadia priced product. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) I've had some X-plus stuff. I review the 1984 Godzilla they did on my channel. They are the Yamato of Godzilla toys, sacrificing articulation for suit accuracy. They basically sculpt super realistic vinyls with little to zero articulation. They are hollow inside. Though they have done some mecha in the past, this will probably be Polyurethane Resin Model like the Gunhead below. I'd imagine it will be rather pricy...depending on materials, size, and sculptor. If it's 31 cm that's about the size of the Giant Godzilla line, which is a bit larger than grimlock in dino mode. That's the 84 which is technically 29cm. But thats height. I imagine the length will be pretty crazy - like 40cm. This Shoji Kawamori Gunhead was $800-1200 bucks. http://www.hlj.com/product/XPS00889/Act http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/item_gunhed.html If it looks anywhere near as good as this... I might spring for it. I almost got the Burning G which was about $400 bucks MSRP, but is probably selling for $900 now if you didn't PO. Edited October 20, 2014 by Gakken85 Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Holy crap, that thing was pricey! Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) If it's X-plus it will be licenced. They hire top notch guys and go for big projects. I'm sure the size and materials won't make it a direct competition to Bandai. Edited October 20, 2014 by Gakken85 Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow! The original 'Monster'! I'm sure that this is licensed since it's using Macross logo on the poster/ flyer. And it has that Big West text underneath the image. Is this going to be somewhere like $300-400 vinyl figure? Quote

Major Tom Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) more pics from TAG hobby: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-1/2014%E5%B9%B410%E6%9C%8819%E6%97%A5-fire-bomber-2014-%E6%9C%83%E5%A0%B4%E5%B1%95%E7%A4%BA-x-plus%E5%B1%95%E5%93%81/ X-plus is an expensive brand. I'm thinking this could be in the 500 range, judging by the size of it. I saw 1/72 Monster up close at this year MW Con - It is BIG!!! Edited October 20, 2014 by Major Tom Quote
spanner Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) eh? 1/72.. how hard is it to make it slightly bigger to 1/60?? And its probably going to stupid expensive so this might be an easy pass for me. Edited October 20, 2014 by spanner76 Quote
wmkjr Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) Would it be around this size? This was the one at the MWcon, yes? Chunky Monkey next to it. If it has movable joints I'd get one but if it's in a fixed pose no ways. Is this the Yamato 1/60 prototype or a custom? I forgot (old pic). Edited October 20, 2014 by wmkjr Quote
chyll2 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 @wmkjr i would say yes, it would roughly the same size. Since mslz22 version is 1/72 and the announced product is scaled close to 1/72 the second picture is the 1/60 yamato prototype. At that scale, articulation needs to be crippled to gain stability, unless they use more engineer which would cost more Quote
aceoftherebellion Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow! I know limited articulation, but if it's even a little posable, I'm sold. 1/72 doesn't bother me in the least, when you get to that size the eyes won't care that it's not in true scale with the other valks, as long as 'huge monster little valkyrie' holds out, that's good enough for me! Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I would imagine it will having moving parts. I'd say, as mentioned before, the main cost determination would be if they use resin. I would assume vinyl is out because you can't get a real sharpness with it. A vinyl one of that size would be close to 400, with resin probably 600. Quote
boinger Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow! I still wish this destroid was 1/60, too. Quote
