Bah, still hadn't seen the first film. It's been sitting on my DVR for several months.

On a side note The Matrix trilogy is on AMC right and it made me think Hollywood should really revisit that franchise.

I still love the Matrix story, even with #3 included in the trilogy.  Seems like the Matrix has been all but forgotten these days, which is a shame....

John Wick Chapter 2 was cool, violent, and all around awesome!  Can't wait to own the blu-ray.

One could say this is unofficially connected to the Matrix universe.  B))

Cool interview.

Here is my take on this joy ride of an action movie. Which first I didnt have to pay for but made me go to the big screen to enjoy the sound and visuals.

This movie is quite unique both this and the original is that it lacked those jackass points in the movie where bad guy would exchange all of his plans until the good guy in slow mo kicks the gun from a stupid akward direction with his big toe to end up shooting the bad guy to win the day.

This bad boy keanu gets his ass beaten, which makes sense. For parts of the movie they dont forget that he has reoccurring injuries and needs to take drugs to keep going.  I like that he acts like an assassin. Doesnt hesitate to get the job done and chooses efficiency in his kill style. Overall you feel the rage in the character.

This movie was not garbage and your hard earned buck worthy. It makes me think of the movie Parker

I'm shocked as to how many assassins they seem to portray in a given area. Seems like everyone and their mom was associated with the business.

Now I know how to do 1 handed brass checks.  Thanks John Wick!

As for the movie, I thought that breaking the rule of not conducting business on Continental grounds earned you the death penalty?

I got the impression that it was up to the owner(/maitre-d?) to decide how the person dies. If I remember the movies right (I watched them, enjoyed them immensely, but immediately forgot most of the details), the guy who first breaks the rules got led to an alley and shot? And then John Wick got the same-ish treatment, but instead of death by execution/firing squad, he gets sentenced to death by assassination out of respect.
