Macross mini models surprise boxes?

About two years ago I was checking out a hobby shop in South Florida and by the check out register they had some surprise boxes with Macross mini models.

I purchased one just to check it out and inside there was a very nice detailed VF-1A. They were about $5 a piece too...

Here what it looks like. It came with a little stand, that is glued to the top of my monitor.

Anyone knows:

1. what are they called
2. Where can we get them online
3. how much are they going for?

I soooo regret not buying the whole box...

Awesome, thanks... Oh the face of regret... I could have gotten a box of those thing for $50 and now they're hawking them at ebay for $30 each

Limbo: Wow, that's quite a steep price for each of these... Guess I'm lucky enough to have been given one by a friend, same VF-1A as the one on your pic above.

there's a zentran uniform paint job but I wasnt sure which volume this came from, or is there a volume 3? :

looks pretty cool, was planning a JM custom if I could find time to do one..

That's the "chase" one or secret one from the first series. It might look fugly, but it's not as common as the others.

I only bought the chase ones... I think that's the kakizaki, minmay guard and the zent uniform...

oh and the Ostrich... love the Ostrich.
