Quagga Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 @Cesar Enrique WOW!!!! That is absolutely stunning!!!! If you don't mind me asking: Where or how did you learn to apply damage? Was it scary to purposefully damage your model? Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 So it's the 18th in Japan, is the Gerwalk hitting the street yet? Anyone getting payment requests/shipping notices yet? Or is the date on Hasegawa's site more of an approximation than an exact date? Quote
Jefuemon Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Amazon Japan has a release date of the 21st. Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Blargh. Well guess I'll just go ahead and ship all the stuff in my Private Warehouse that's approaching the deadline of the 20th Quote
big F Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 No chance of building it over the Christmas break then Quote
GMK Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Just billed by HLJ for this: seriously wished I'd ordered two! Hobby Search have the sprue shots here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10289602 Quote
Hervé Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Hello, my order (2 boxes), made the 1st december, is still opened... => backordered (4 to 6 weeks delay)... Damned ! It seems that this Gerwalk is already a best seller ! Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Hrm, seems my pre-order is also delayed. I'm even further down the queue since I placed the order on Dec 7th. Oh well. Quote

Hobby Search have the sprue shots here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10289602 Hmm, pilot is it's own sprue, and I've got a VF-1S kit that I'm not going to be doing anything with now. TV Roy time? Quote
big F Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 This is one of the most anticipated kits that Hasegawa have made in the Macross universe. Quote
Kelsain Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 No request yet for me. Hmm, have to check on that. Quote
joscasle Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 This is one of the most anticipated kits that Hasegawa have made in the Macross universe. 1/48 Battroid will be great Quote
cool8or Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) after to see the instruction from Hobby Search, I have the following conclusions: 1.- we don't have a TV version cockpit. and I have to say it, I'm very dissapointed with this. 2.- there are not a new sculpt for the nose, they use the fighter sprue 3.- heads are from fighter version 4.- arms, hands and gunpod are from battroid and also I have some questions: 1.- there are some pieces from the stand that are not for use...for what are they? for other not-Macross kits? 2.- for what the hell they made the parts GA-3 and GA-4? may be they have plans for a future Super/Strike Gerwalk? TMBounty_Hunter Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Looking at the new vs old parts, it doesn't seem like it's compatible out of the box with the VF-1D parts (the lower section of the body for the Gerwalk is new), but it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to modify it to fit. So who'll be the first to attempt that? Quote
Kelsain Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 It's on my list, but I doubt I'll be the first! Quote

So who'll be the first to attempt that? So are we looking at a hand full of new parts that just join the otherwise used parts in the kit bash of the battroid and fighter that a lot of people on here have made. So one could have just had a small parts kit and add two already available kits and eh voila !! Gerwalk Quote

GMK Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 TV hands, too. Being picky, I'd prefer the TV 1A head. Still, happy with the release overall. Quote

mslz22 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 That's awesome, and one of the fastest builds of a new kit, I would not be surprised if anticipated the parts breakdown and got a head start using a super battroid and super fighter kit for the armor/legs/arms etc. Then just finish up the parts from the new sprues. I do love the new gerwalk kit Quote
