cool8or Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Chas, VF-1 fighter costs ¥1600, and have almost the same amount of plastic. http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG19/Sci And by the way.... Preordered both kits!! Quote
Chas Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Why do I remember them being more expensive than that? Anyway still a good deal. Quote
vincemoto7 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Anyone know if the 1/48 weapons set will come with pilots like the 1/72 kit (I'm thinking no, cuz they already come with the valkyrie)? Quote
valkyriepilot Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) Chas: Not really, when you consider that a 1/72 VF-1 Super/Strike kit is around the same price. Here's a sample: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10037736 Edited August 27, 2014 by valkyriepilot Quote

valkyriepilot Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Well it's a good deal considering what I paid for my 3 Hasegawa gerwalk kits. Looks like my reply got displaced again, mobile foruming is really not the best way to go yet. Was actually replying to your earlier question of whether the Gerwalk kit seems too low priced Quote
big F Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Pre ordered mine last night along with a YF19 as a "spare" Price wise they seem cheaper, maybe the exchange rate is better for me now ? Quote
vincemoto7 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 No, no pilot in the 1/48 weapon set. Yeah, that's what I thought... oh well, beggars can't be choosers I guess. Quote
Heavy Melder Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Ordered 3 weapon sets. Might get more. Quote
GMK Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Any word on whether there's a TV cockpit too? Also, is it just me or does the 'backpack' look too small? Quote
Jefuemon Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Any word on whether there's a TV cockpit too? Also, is it just me or does the 'backpack' look too small? Right now, I'm going to assume that TV pilot also means TV cockpit. Should know for sure once Hasegawa releases actual photos. Quote
Chas Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Gerwalk box art. 25.jpg Nice! Is that official? Wouldn't it be nice if the wings came with optional parts for a flaps down build like that pic? Quote
Spitfire_BR Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 oooohhh, this baby will sell like water in the desert ! Quote

big F Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 That box art captures what made the Arii box art so great. It's the 1980's all over again. Quote
Jefuemon Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Oh my! And an image of the weapons set! Quote
cool8or Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 detachable missiles! great detail! and the boxart of gerwalk is outstanding!! Quote
ivorysniper Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Oh my! And an image of the weapons set! MC04.jpg Wow!. Those weapons look impressive. Quote
GMK Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Not to sound ungrateful......but, 48th Battroid & Gerwalk please. Quote
Reïvaj Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Great stuff. So the hardpoints should be permanently glued to the wings? Quote
Fatalist Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 How can you look at that box-art and think "nope, gerwalk is fugly". Love that art, and want to see the finished product! Quote
PetarB Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Oh wow, that box art looks like the early eighties illustration style - in a good way. Box Get! Quote
MechTech Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I thought that "that's some awesome looking 80's box art. Flashbck time...-MT Quote
Aurora-7 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 That was a flash back moment for me. I remembered when I saw the first IMAI macross kits of the Variable Fighters and their dramatic artwork of all their modes. Quote
milhouse Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Oh my! And an image of the weapons set! MC04.jpg Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Why, oh why, did I look at this image!!! Now I have to buy it since the missiles are detachable! *counts pennies to save* Quote
big F Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Could this herald a rebooted weapons set with the upgraded missiles ? More for us to spend our cash on. Quote
Aurora-7 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) For myself, I'm hoping for a 1/72 VF-171 Nightmare Plus kit from Hasegawa. It makes sense after doing the Messiah and the Lucifer. I'd hope they'd do one before the start turning their attention to the new series kits. Bad enough a VF-17 was never done beyond a 1/144 by Bandai for Macross 7. And I don't want to pay $200.00+ for the Chogokin figure version Edited September 25, 2014 by Aurora-7 Quote

Aurora-7 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Ooops! My mistake. I thought they had. Well now I really won't be holding my breath for a VF-171 And is the Bandai version really that bad? I've not seen an actual kit myself. Quote
