OK...for whatever it's worth...let's see if our tastes have changed.....what do you want Arcadia to release next?

Your pick not on the list....I can add 5 more choices......or perhaps you have a particular version of what is listed in mind? Let them know!

I voted VF-2SS Valkyrie II. All the major Macross transforming valkyries have gone through multiple toy interations, whether with one manufacturer or multiple manufacturers. Hell, we even got a transformable VF-4 Lightning III. It's well past time the flagship hero valkyrie of Macross II was given some modern transforming toy love. I don't care that it's not a Kawamori design, I don't care if Macross II is the bastard child and I don't care that'd I'd probably not even buy it; enough people like it and it's time to see it. The fact that a hero valkyrie like the VF-2SS has been ignored this long is ridiculous. Its moment is now. Make it happen Arcadia.

oh, and a VF-14 after that. :p

While I love the VF-3000 design, what schemes are there? I think I've only seen the M3 ones. (I am still amazed by how many not-cool Max and Milia schemes exist in that game--you've gotta try hard to make M&M valks NOT look cool, but they managed several times)

I would go with a VF-2SS too. Although i am not a big fan o macross II i really like the design of that mech.

To be honest the two models i really want Arcadia to make are not Valks. The first one would be the Macross 0 reactive armor. The second one instead is the old yellow plane that Fokker flies in Hikaru's flashback during episode 2(or 3, can't remember exactly right now)...i think it is Fokker's only plane never made by any company.

It would be awesome to see some 1/60 or 1/48 Glaug, or Regult. I want something to have pew pew battles with my Yammies damnit! More capital ships would be awesome too, but I know they aren't as popular in general. But I like em! :). Come on 1/48 SDF-1!!! I can put it in my garage.

First of all, massive, and I mean MASSIVE kudos for including the VF-9 on this pole, as I thought for sure it wouldn't be there.

That being said, my second choice would be a VF-19ACTIVE or Variable Glaug, both of which are missing ^_^

Revised my vote. Primary is still VF-2SS Valkyrie II, but the second one is the Fz-109 Elgerzorene ("A" model). The Fz-109A was always a fun design to me, but the Battroid was rather bulky and dramatically exaggerated by the oni-like art style. I would be very interested to see what a real, toy-proportioned model would do for the arms and legs of the Elgerzorene robot mode. I have a feeling the line art Battroid mode would benefit from a "slimming" proportion that would make the robot feel more real and not so cartoony. Plus, we could finally have a real "enemy" valkyrie toy, not just the "competing" valkyrie thing of the YF-21/VF-27 Lucifer.

I refuse to open up a "third choice" option... ....but agreed....I need a Varauta valk......

We have the SV-51's though.....but you typed the word enemy in quotes...so I'm guessing the SV's don't count for you?

BTW...you ever unearthed the source for the revised line art for these brutes?

The M&M schemes on the 3000s look great (as do the ones on the VF-9 and VF-11).

there's also the CF scheme shown in the master file.

imo, it looks like it used a lot of Anime magic. I checked the fighter lineart and it looks really great, but how that fighter will transform into that macho looking battroid is my question

I suppose the SV-51 is a true "enemy" Valkyrie since it's a war design made by an enemy faction specifically for combat, but it still feels like a "human" design to me. And yes, I know the Varauta are all alien-derived craft stolen from human originals. But I guess Macross is at heart a human vs. alien world to my mind the Varauta fit that mold, just using variable fighters.

Regarding the "alternate" line art for the Varauta variable fighters (Fz-109A/F Elgerzorene, Az-130A Panzerzorene and FBz-99G Saubergeran), I was never able to find any official answer on what they are. For one of the drawings - the Fz-109F Elgerzorene - I was able to source the "Battroid" drawing to the Macross 7 Sketchbook. I've colored it and it's included in the next udpate. My assumption? the alternate drawings appear to be animator-friendly versions of the original designs. The "alternate" drawings do have some added detail in a few minor areas, but overall they appear to be simplified, with fewer lines and more dramatic "animated" proportions. If anyone has a better theory, I'm open to it. But that's my best guess.

Okay, I updated my vote a third time to cast two votes for the secondary choices. Fz-109A Elgerzorene is still there, but I added the VF-5000 Star Mirage since Macross has so few delta wing craft (though I suppose the recent YF-30 Chronos and the upcoming VF-0D Phoenix releases are changing that). The Star Mirage isn't a favorite of mine, but like the VF-4 Lightning III, once I saw the toy I really liked the idea of the product existing as a toy. I could see myself buying the VF-4, so I could see myself buying the VF-5000.

To touch upon Kelsain's post about what you wouldn't want to see, I don't really have a list like that. Ideally, I'd want to see all the Macross designs in a toy format at some point. However, I write about his post because I have a variation of it I'd like to share called "valkyrie toys I'd rather see later than sooner". That design would be the VF-3000 Crusader. Not because it's a design I don't like; I do like it. But I just feel that it's so much like the VF-1 Valkyrie - and we've got so many VF-1 valkyrie and VF-0 Phoenix toys - that I'd rather see that toy come last before almost anything else on the list.

Hmmmm......an unspoken fourth pillar of Macross TV animated projects?

SDFM - Zentradi/Meltrandi

M7 - Protodeviln

Ok. Would love to ask this question here instead of making a new one. I know seeing the VF-14 Vampire photos makes me wonder, would they try to achieve what's being said on the line art? Or would they make a 'sleek' plane first before adjusting the look on the other modes such as Gerwalk and Battroid. In which will alienate fans for having a different look and proportions kinda like what happened to YF-21. I know for a fact that in reality we will not get a 'perfect' transforming figure that will look like as sleek as the lineart for the fighter mode and as bulky as the lineart for the battroid mode. And same goes to gerwalk mode as well. If ever they decided to release such a beast e.g. the Vampire, and basing their designs on the original lineart as much as possible, would people welcomes the idea of 'parts-former' on their 'perfect trance' transforming Valkyries, just to have that 'proportion' look?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. But it just makes me curious when I saw the Vampire Valk since I'm not familiar with it.

I think that Yamato's VF-17S/D would be the best indicator of what can be done with a VF-14....of course, I am sure much has been learned about designing these toys by Yamato/Arcadia since then....

I am pretty confident that Arcadia could pull off a really nice compromise between all modes for a VF-14 (MacP/M7)......they have more of less achieved that with their VF/YF-19....

if you look at the "revised" VF-14 from M3....the design abandons the "brutish" (bulky?) look of the original Vampire design.....it would probably be more line accurate if selected, but personally...I prefer the Macross Plus/M7 version....
