I think he's waiting for his Glowforge to come in before restocking.

This is what I am hoping for, but it looks like it may be a few months out. Since that is the case, I am looking into ordering another batch of cuts. Researching local vendors now that I am at our new location. I'll update this thread either way.

Thanks for the update Yeti. This had led me looking into glowforge, and it is very impressive in its ability! The price is not bad either considering what it is. I was looking into its FAQ and it does say orders will ship in first half of 2016 and into 3Q 2016.

Yep. There was a chance I would have gotten it this month to test out, but that is looking less likely.

I hope people were serious about wanting stands! I just made an order to hopefully cover the gap until I get my laser cutter. I will update by pm/email to those that have been inquiring when my order arrives.

Is there gonna be the acrylic knuckles in this order too?

Yes! I made sure to order some of those, and the dual arms.

Think you'll be able to finish up those adapter requests in time for your acrylic order? If there are any available, I'd like to add some of the regular (not XL) arms to my planned purchase.

The Arcadia stand adapter? Yeah. I apologize. I have been swampped at work.

I'm serious, but I'm certainly in no rush. I have a few big tickets on preorder that goes by the name of Ironman.

Hot Toys?

Finally refined the arcadia stand adapter. I will most likely have this for sale this week.

I think the Yeti base is great though by way of its heft, I highly recommend the base for those in the market but I have purchased a dx starter kit and look forward to testing it.

I greatly agree. A large part of why my stands are so good is the weight of the base. I do enjoy accommodating requests, but you will miss out on the stability of the YetiStand base when using one of the stand base adapters for Arcadia, and Bandai stands.

Seconded! The complete article is definitely a better beast than any adaptations to current stands. And Jenius, I hope to beat you to a full (albeit written, with pictures and not video) review of the starter kit in the not too distant future.

Yeti - apologies on my lateness so far. There's been far too much real life for me lately to devote the time I had planned to said review. But it is coming.

And so is Christmas, incidentally...

Well, since you're getting a batch to tide people over until you can cut your own, I was gonna try to grab a full stand to try out with one of my other toys. So you might get a repeat customer out of me in the future if they suit my needs. They look great in the photos, but this is an instance where I need one in the midst of my collection to see if it "fits in".

Well, you requested the Arcadia one. I will put one in for free if/when you order a YetiStand.

I don't know what it is, but they just work on every level, including how they "fit in" with everything else. Seriously, do yourself a favour and grab one. I'm showing lots of bias here, obviously, but personally, I think they look even better than the photos.

I meant that I wanted to get a YetiStand since some stock was unexpectedly showing up. I'm actually really excited for the chance to get my hands on one relatively soon. Originally, I was planning to order a couple of the DX kits and some accessories for the Arcadias. I like the storage in the Arcadia stand, but the Bandai DX ones I'll replace in a heartbeat. So I'll probably rethink my order and I may end up using Yetis for more of my larger/heavier things in the future.

And a place holder for the acrylic knuckle. The acrylic is slated to arrive on the 16th.

I just moved into a new place, I will be placing an order right after the holidays. Have to see where they will fit in the room and which will be attached to the wall.

Nice!

On that note, I haven't touched my wall mounted valks in a few weeks. The arms have not dropped at all. Still very secure to the wall.

Wow, those look great wall mounted! Are you screwing the base directly into the wall, or are there keyhole slots in the base bottom to slip over screws? Or something else? I'm definitely going to be in for one of the starter kits!

Wow that Slave 1 is awesome there!!! Is that thing still around, or will they make another? I want one!

Anyway Ironman, lol. Maybe one Hot Toy, but a heavy one. More kind of a Sentinel one or three...

I want one to play around with and a couple for fixed displays. Have to apologise though, these could be a long way off, but I know exactly what I want for my first purchase.

Did I just see a new "Arcadia starter kit"?

Actually I can't remember what I wanted, but I do know I posted it here somewhere. I'll just look back to it when I'm ready. :)

I'm now wondering if you can get the Monster in jet mode surrounded by six Hi-Metal jets (or combination with explosion effects) pegged into your pegged base. Either escorting the ship or darting in different directions around it. That would look rad.

Those are the Robot Spirit releases, I might do a fighter mode escort with the HMRs soon but the scale would be off since the HMRs are like 1/90 and the VB6 is like 1/120.

We can call it 'anime-magic'. Or use some excuse, 'it's just the perspective'. ;)
