brouken Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 if by any chance you are talking about great toys then it is already sold http://www.greattoysonline.com/gto/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=342&products_id=24776 for the price, yeah it is a bit steep and if you go over YJA, the price of a MISB 30th SSP can easily reach 12 to 15k yen. I searched online and saw the name of the store. Its R-Toys at Virra Mall (Great Toys is in Shoppesville): They also have a couple of loose v2 VF-1's there too (a strike Hikky and strike Fokker), both panel lined and missing some parts, w/out boxes. PhP 11,+++ each (around USD250.00). There's some other Macross and Robotech stuff as well, but nothing overly special, in my books at least. Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Well, I'm stoked. I secured a late version of the Yamato Armor parts and VF-1J with grey visor (Non-1 on the front). Guess I can cancel my Arcadia version as I already have the 30th VF-1J Tv version. Quote
spanner Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Seeing that I got a grey goggle VF-1J GBP set now I will cancel one of my pre-orders.. will only need to get the one now. Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I guess that's the big drawback for Arcadia not pulling out the stops on the the things the hardcore fans want. They will save and try to get the yammie versions. Quote
xrentonx Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I have one on tentative preorder still but I'd be less reserved if this was the grey goggles version. That would seal the deal for me. Quote
Loop Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I also have one on pre-order that I am so so on. I never bought the grey goggle version from Yamato, but I already have 2x VF-1J white goggles and one set of the Armor parts with "Missile Launch Effect parts" I chose the white goggles version so it would match my 1/48 Armored VF-1J so one or the other would not look off from the other. I'm just starting to feel like I don't need this one as I did with the new VF-19 Kai. Quote
Sildani Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Me as well. I have a pre-order up that I'm debating keeping - I have a Maruyama 171 and a Percival on PO. My need for a V2 VF-1 was met by a fairly cheap TV Kakizaki I bought from an MW'er. What I really want are Super parts for it, and Arcadia hasn't said a damn THING about reassuring those, as best I know. Perhaps they don't have the molds for those? Quote
Reïvaj Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 They do. Mr-K has repeatedly said be patient. Quote
troyness Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I'm gonna keep my PO, as I've never had a GBP in any scale nor a 1J in 1/60 scale, nor option parts...but I'm also temped by the 0A, not sure if I can afford both. Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) Got my Armor set today. I have to say I'm impressed with how simple, easy, and sold it is - and how they built the engineering into the VF-1. I'm so sad that Ultra Magnus wasn't this well thought out and solid. spanner Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Gakken! did you win the lotto or something!? hehe! yet another fine addition to your collection! Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Traded my Hot Toys Robocop for the late edition Gray Visor But Yeah I've been updating my collection the last two weeks or so. Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Those grey goggles make all the difference. I actually prefer it over the original but I'm still picking up the Arcadia Version. Looks great Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Yup, been wanting it for a long long time. Quote
aaajin Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Looking great Gakken. So, the question remains, to pay now or pay later (100¥ = $0.82 as of 3/14/15). Preordered @ NY for ¥23150 shipping included ~ $190....hmmmmmm Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I don't think the Yen will improve that much. but you might save a few bucks Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 yeah i like the grey goggles too. they look fantastic Quote
DarrinG Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) G - those pics are wayyy too big - its killing the page! On Gray Goggles ----- I never alter my figures so I do not damage a resale, but for the 1J, I used grey metallic on the goggles and it looks great. I think any future buyer would appreciate that I did it for them . . . Edited March 17, 2015 by DarrinG Quote
Gakken85 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Hmm. My monitors are pretty big so I never notice haha. The board always resizes images for me. Maybe its your browser? You can also take apart the 30th head and swap visors. It has a grey visor. Idk if that is possible without breaking the head though. Edited March 17, 2015 by Gakken85 Quote
xrentonx Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Looks like I'm gonna put metallic grey paint on my shopping list Quote

They've had that Super and Strike Parts set at R-Toys Virra Mall for a while and it's the older release not the 30th anniversary one with option parts. I saw that set around December last year and the best price they could give me was PHP 6.5k, around USD 146. Edited March 21, 2015 by mmv1976 Quote

I got a couple of the gold and silver ones in my hlj pw for zaku heat axes. Love the idea of having two-toned silvers using the sharpies that mike mentioned. Will look for those as well Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 arcadia armor w/ "white goggles" Quote
Gakken85 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Why are they doing an SD getter? Like there aren't a million of those already. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 GBP set has hit "order stop" at HLJ oh man that's a sign... it's a hot seller Quote
Old Man Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Wow...couldn't make up my mind for the longest time, but finally decided to pull the trigger on this yesterday...must've just made it Quote
no3Ljm Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Good thing I also PO'ed on this one days ago at AmiAmi. And they're still open just in case people still wants to add it to their collection. The white goggled Armored VF-1J. Quote
Gakken85 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 If Arcadia was smart they would have made their missiles yellow haha Quote
DarrinG Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Anyone with white-visor issues, just use Gundam paint marker GM32 200 Takes 2 minutes... Quote
no3Ljm Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I'll probably do the same with this bundle since I already have a regular VF-1J. Quote
