arrow Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 the reason it will be released later is probably so they can see who wins the, which color should be what, debate. Quote
Reïvaj Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The 1982 in the poster means they have macross tv license? (M&M vf-1j in the future!!! ^^) Well seen, Sir. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) I'll get it with or without as I don't have this release yet A spare head would be great though. And effects parts. I'd rather have effects parts than a grey visor. A little gray isn't as cool for a display as missiles! It seems like Arcadia is trying to do definitive releases with all the goodies, so it sounds likely. Look at the Fire valk release. Sound Booster, extra figures, and the gold trim. Chet Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I agree. Including the Itano circus missile effect parts and an extra grey goggled head would go a long way towards softening the impact of what will most likely be a dramatic increase in price over the Yamato versions. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Yeah and the effects parts can't cost that much to make. It's just molds of tubular plastic. Spare heads can't cost much either. Quote
arrow Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 some kind of standing 1/60 pilot or mechanic figure would be a nice extra. Quote
jenius Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I would expect them to pass on the missile fire effect simply because of the packaging issues. They only sold the missile effect with the standalone GBP because the missiles took as much room as a Valk.. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Considering how big the YF-19 was for just a valk.. Idk about that haha Quote
Chronocidal Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Well, that one did have the tray with all those missiles added. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Mr. K scuttled the missile talk: みすたーK @Mrk_arcadia 6h あっ!ミサイル発射エフェクトをお持ちなのですね! 今回のアーマードにはミサイル発射エフェクトは付属しません。 "Oh! Missile firing effects you have of it?! Into this armored missile firing effects are not included." Quote
technoblue Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Oh well. Not a deal breaker for me, but those would have been a nice addition. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I don't think Mr. K agrees with you guys みすたーK @Mrk_arcadia 5h アーマードのVF-1バイザーは白です。 Translated from Japanese by Bing VF-1 Armored visor is white. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 grey goggle valk is now fetching high in japan... i guess it's a hot commodity now. Quote

technoblue Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 He told skullmilitia that it is still a secret. Who do I believe? Aw, screw it. I'm buying the armor set anyway. Quote
skullmilitia Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I imagine it's going to be be white, simple because we know they have the DYRL licensing. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Just some guy having his cousin bid up the auction. Quote

treatment Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 No grey, no buy for me. Already got a 1J and couldn't really care less about a standalone GBP armor. Arcadia's gonna jack the pricing to scalper-highs anyway, so why still exclude the grey visor? Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Asked Mr K. about a spare grey visor: 予備は入れないと思います。 少しでも価格を抑えたいのでね・・・。 I think that the spare can't enter. Because even a little wants to hold a price in check, ; ... (Used the babylon translator and it made more sense.) Edited July 30, 2014 by Gakken85 Quote
close313 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 It's easy to paint it anyway so it's no problem for me. Quote
derex3592 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 So glad I got the original Yamato IJ and then the grey visor armored IJ back in the day when they were first released and "cheap"! Quote
CoreyD Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Asked Mr K. about a spare grey visor: How about just putting a grey colored sticker on the decal sheet that can be wrapped around the white visor? Sure, it's not ideal, but it's something... Quote
Astro_BS-AS Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Now this.... And maybe "tomorrow" a SDF1 TV ver? Is this to much to dream of? Here in Argentina prices get almost impossible for these wonders, so I don´t know what I´m gonna do, but I have to have one Quote
chyll2 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 How come they can't add an alternative visor for this so they can please both fans who like white and grey visors. I am not sure about the cost since it is just a small plastic that they can easily reproduce in batches. If they said the missile effect parts is costly, I would believe them but not that small piece visor. Quote
xrentonx Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Is the visor a separate piece? Anyone got quick access to the assembly kits? Was the head on a separate sprue? Quote

They will never do this. Quote
xrentonx Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Just checked myself on a 1S kit...entire head is on its own tree so there aren't any extraneous pieces. Can't see it costing more than just the extra head...but maybe the tree for the head is included with other trees so they can't just make them without having other trees that would be extra. The plastic is poured into big steel molds after all. It's probably difficult to just pour the plastic for a small section of the mold if the head parts are in the same steel mold as the wings or chest or whatever. Your cost in such a case would go up if they have to pour the plastic for the entire mold. So it can't be that simple. I'm probably off base but that's my guess. technoblue Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Boo. The upside, though, is that I needed an excuse to buy new model paints. Now I have one. It seems I also have an excuse to get active on twitter again. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 more than the cost of adding an extra piece, which imo will not be much as yamato just threw in option parts in a little plastic bag in each box, as well as arcadia threw in a plastic stand in the 30th rainbow in similar fashion. a move like that will damage their economic market structure and hurt their profits. Quote
xrentonx Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Sure...but maybe those are on a separate steel mold. Edit: Actually...they would be since they were added much later than the original releases. Edited July 30, 2014 by xrentonx Quote
