peter Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Looks interesting. Just had a thought, the Rock would have made a better Conan than that fruitcake Malmoa. Quote
Duke Togo Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) The problems with the new Conan were the director and script, not the choice of actor. And that looks horrible. Edited July 15, 2014 by Duke Togo Quote
areaseven Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Lou Ferrigno > All other Hercules actors (Kevin Sorbo included). Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 This movie looks awesome I will be sure to see it. Quote
Agent ONE Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 The problems with the new Conan were the director and script, not the choice of actor. And that looks horrible. This thing actually looks worse than the new Conan. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Asylum should have went with Heracles. Quote
Dynaman Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Asylum should be able to go with Hercules, they can't "own" the name since it has been used for movies before, "Hercules Reborn" is all theirs now though. Wife wants to see this, fine with me since we get dressed up for movies. Quote
areaseven Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Not as epic as the Lou Ferrigno films, but hey - it's Schwarzenegger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGBmPQy10r8 Quote
peter Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 Haha, I must be losing my grip on reality because I was thinking about actually seeing this film. I actually tried to watch the new Conan movie, and got through about 25 minutes before I turned it off. I scrolled through the rest of the film to see if there was anything worth looking at and found none. Maybe I’ll save my money and wait to see this on Netflix. Quote
Agent ONE Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 The new Conan was friggin epic. It was pretty bad. The character was completely inconsistent. Half of the time he was a stoic killer, the other time he sounded like Keuanu Reeves in Point Break. He is a good actor, but the writing was horrendous. The plot and visuals were great though. Quote

Funny you should say that because he said the same thing about 47 ronin. Quote
Einherjar Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) For some reason I really want to watch this. The last Hercules movie I saw was what I think was a serious, I'm really serious, Sci-Fi Channel original movie. All I remember is that the actor played him as a real dumb brute and looked the part too. And for some reason he had a kid with a shape shifting centaur lady in the second act and didn't know he was the father until the end. Edit: The 2005 Hercules movie starring Paul Telfer. BeyondTheGrave Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The problems with the new Conan were the director and script, not the choice of actor. And that looks horrible. So I take it you liked The Legend of Hercules Quote
Einherjar Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I just noticed the tag for Brett Ratner. Hmm... Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Oh no some guy's name- Wait I don't care. Quote
Einherjar Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Oh no some guy's name- Wait I don't care. Oh no, you don't really care when it comes to your adrenaline pumping sex and violence. How annoyingly consistent. Edited July 17, 2014 by Einherjar Quote

DuelGundam2099 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 How annoyingly consistent. Like how people complain about names in credits for no reason and that somehow makes a movie any different. Quote
Einherjar Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Like how people complain about names in credits for no reason and that somehow makes a movie any different. Because the name of the director, whose work directly led to the X-Men films' reboot, is totally meaningless, right? Edited July 17, 2014 by Einherjar Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 It should because this has nothing to do with those movies. Plus that work did not lead directly to any reboot, there were three other movies and a fourth pertaining to time travel where all the effects are still unknown. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Just got back from seeing it and it is friggin epic. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Because the name of the director, whose work directly led to the X-Men films' reboot, is totally meaningless, right?Bryan singer? Quote
Einherjar Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Bryan singer? Ratner and X3. I never got over it. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Ratner changed very little in X3 during production, the guy was added late in-game, he really does not deserve the flak people give him for that. I also find it hilarious that he did actually make a legitimately terrible movie (Skyline) and yet, SOMEHOW, nobody seems to care about that. Quote
