Hey guys, I just wanted to post a topic asking what your most PRIZED and FAVORITE valkyrie or any macross toy/model is?

Well for starters, I guess my only prized and rare posession of mine is my VF-1S High Complete Model. Picked this one up about 8 years ago when I was in Korea and looking through a small shop that sold a bunch of gundam models and some wierd korean robot toys.

Back in the 1980's my most prized toy was also my Hikaru 1/72 VF-1S HCM.

In the 1990s it was my Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Hikaru Strike Valk.

Now it is the Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru with FAST packs.

My 1/48 VF-1S Roy w/ Strike Pack takes the crown.

Other favorites are my TRU VF-1A (still MISB), 1/100 MG Sazabi and Nu Gundam, Metal Material Stike Gundam, and my new Escaflowne.

I'm also kind of partial to my VF-19A, but I'm sure that will be replaced with Yamato's new 19's when they eventually come out. Some day.

I would say my 1/48 Roy with fastpacks then the rest of the 1/48's. Then it would be my Gundam Fix 0017a and 0017b. Then it would be Takara Transformers God Ginrai.

Models would be 1/100 Macross VF-2SS then VF-19S.

Currently my favorite is the 1/60 Super VF-1J Hikaru.

Soon it will be either the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru w/FAST packs or MPC Convoy. Hikaru is presently wrapped and sitting under the Christmas tree and Convoy is still on pre-order. So for a short while Hikaru will be the undisputed favorite.

My 1/48 Low Vis. With these Kick ass Stickers from Devin, its the only Valk i have with me as a pilot.

after that, my Gouf Flight HG, Max 1/60 1J, My McFarlane Danger Girl figures (especially SYDNEY!!!), My Kubricks (Gambit, Solid Snake and enemy soldier), and my Stephen Hawking simpsons figure.

Definitely (even if it's fugly to what it should REALLY be) my Yammie yf-19

took me two long years and my soul to finally get my so dreamed valk

i don't have that much.

I like my low viz, but i was never partial to the 1a head. Its all about the head shape to me, i always loved the 1s head. It looks very intimidating IMO.

Out of my small modest collection, I always find myself holding my 11b FP version. I duno, I really like it in the fighter mode and it grew on me.

the yf-21 looks very intimidating with the two guns.

I wish i had more 1/48's :(

In no particular order.

My Gakken Ride Armor

Dougram 1/48th

VF-1S Roy 1/48

SOC Dancougar

My PG Gundams

Metal Material Seed Gundam

Matsushiro Jetfire

Devil Wing Shin Getter (Never seen the show, but it looks so mean and cool!)

BT Smokescreen

I am certain the escaflowne and the new 20th anni prime will be added to this list as soon as they arrive B))

When the fires come for me.... im grabbing my, MIB Japanese Bandai JMs and my 1/55, VF-1J, TakaT.

Right now, my Low-Viz. Then probably the YF-21FP. Then probably the Anakin Clone Wars starfighter.

I'm anticipating the Masterpiece Optimus Prime/Convoy to maybe edge out the YF-21 if not the low-viz...

Mine would have to be a 1/100 Tatsunoko VF-1A, I got it (er... stole it, but the guy deserved it!) in 2nd grade and I've had it ever since. It had no arms when I got it and one of it's legs have since falled off but it's the reason I'm a Macross fan so I gotta say that it's my favorite.

I like my new 1/48 VF-1S Roy Reissue. Superior quality compared to the 1/48 VF-1J.

The 1J just sux in comparison. gaps and all. The 1S reissue rules !

Where does the 1J have gaps?

Posted

problems with 1J not found in 1S reissue :

* gaps above air intakes

* gaps between back plate and chest plate

* legs tend to leave the toy in gerwalk position. They are not firmly positionned while the 1S is really good. you can check the toy, legs will stay in position

BUT

problems with 1S not found in 1J :

*backpack latch is too tight. I feel it's going to break the back pack hinge. you know what I mean...

This is not the good thread to talk about that.

My conclusion : I prefer the 1S ROY reissue

My fav is the 1/48 Low-vis for sure. A close second is my green 1/35 Legioss. In general, I think toys these days are much better than in the past.

My favorite is my Care Bear...oh, uh, I mean my 1/55 Strike VF-1S Roy Custom.

I spent alot of time on that sucker. But I am eagerly waiting for the fast packs for my 1/48 VF-1S Roy and Low Vis. I might change my mind then.
