ewilen Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 What are we supposed to be seeing in the DYRL game opening? Is that the DYRL version of how the Prometheus was destroyed at the beginning of Space War One? If so, that means Hikaru and Max were already pilots at the time. Quote

Hiriyu Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) I assume you're referring to the 1992 Banpresto arcade version? Not likely to be canon IMHO, as most [all] of the Banpresto games are just license-whoring (they also did various Gundam and Sailor-Moon games). *Edit - Oops. I just realized you're probably NOT talking about the BP DYRL game. Nevermind Edited December 24, 2003 by Hiriyu Quote

Nevermind He's talking about the Saturn/PlayStation game that features very liberal usage of FMV between levels(captured from the movie as well as new animation). Quote
dna Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) It was my understanding that it was cannon for the DYRL timeline. Edited December 24, 2003 by dna Quote
ewilen Posted December 24, 2003 Author Posted December 24, 2003 Yes, I'm talking about the much-praised clip that shows Skull team taking off from a carrier, after which there's an attack and a beam weapon cuts right through the carrier. Quote

Jasonlord Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 It was a very cool scene nevertheless! We'll probably never 'know' if it was canon or not... Quote
