I saw the first episode of Velma S2, and...

Man... HBO deleted many cartoons for this... this thing.

I watched that old witches ghost movie with my daughter when she was very young. I was actually surprised that that and the zombie island movie were pretty good. It’s too bad the lead singer of the Hex Girls started taking heroin and passed out in the sun for ten hours

This is why anime is better.

There’s a few bad examples of recent animation from America, but I’d take Castlevania, Invincible, X Men 97 and even Vox Machina over any anime that’s come out in the last decade or so. Anime has really been in a bit of a rut lately. It’s been either really pretty, but cringy and dull or a bunch of Tron fanfiction, or just derpy humor that’s just not funny or forgettable remakes of older shows with bad cg

As usual I am super late to the party, currently I'm halfway through Season 3 of FOR ALL MANKIND, so far, it's a very good show, good acting, great FX. I'm ready for season 4 & then eventually 5. B))

Got through episode 4 of the Sympathizer and I’m still not really sure on what’s going on with Robert Downey JR. is he actually multiple people or is he disguised and the main character doesn’t realize it or is the main character having weird hallucinations since he seems to have that issue. Either way it was fun to see RDJ, John Cho and David Duchovny together in a single episode doing a weird version of Tropic Thunder

Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery to Launch Disney+, Hulu, Max Streaming Bundle (Variety.com)

One wonders how long it will be before we head back into a cable TV-like subscription model (many, if not all streaming services, available in 1 bundle).

Same thought I've had for years. It was a new-fangle thing, but it's not sustainable over the long term, esp with prices that always go up. A few years down the road and what was affordable enough for three or four services now equates to just one in some instances. And then you get the 'bundling' to try and keep it affordable, and eventually you are back to cable-style format, only on-line.

I guess it could be just seen as the 'natural' progression/migration from cable to on-line, and certainly done in one of the more expensive ways possible (for the consumer, of course...)

Saw this but expect it to be pricey. We only watch about an hour of streaming a day so we're limiting our subscriptions. Right now its MAX, Paramount+, Apple+ and Prime. I don't plan on renewing my Prime subscription this year.

At this point all I'm subscribed to these days is Hulu, Disney and HBO, so honestly if this saves me money I'm in. Especially if the no-ads version is a decent price, Hulu/Disney got too pricey so I switched to the ad-supported version, would love to drop ads again if possible.

I wound up getting three months of Apple TV+.  As a Godzilla fan I had to binge watch Monarch: Legacy of Monsters first, but after that I started watching For All Mankind.  I'm only a handful of episodes into it, but so far I think it's quite good.

We need a new batch of Chuck Norris jokes now that he’s in a new movie. The old ones still make me laugh though

This bundling bit is "interesting".  When  cable companies ruled what was actually available at each home (sure there was satellite too for a while but most people had one or two choices for TV programming tops) the idea of bundling makes sense - the Cable Company monopoly made it possible.  With the current internet there is no incentive for content providers to "make a deal" to get access to consumers since they already have it.

Saturday Night Live Scooby-Doo

Between this and the Beavis & Butthead skit, it's been a good season 49 with SNL!
