Duke Togo Posted January 17 Posted January 17 If you have AppleTV+ and aren't watching Silo and Severance, what are you doing? Quote
Mog Posted January 17 Posted January 17 My work innie watched Severance. . . I think. Not sure. Quote

Thom Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I'm back! Spoiler Dang it, I hate ambiguous endings!! Obviously Juliet Lives and probably so does Bernard, but then they just jump right to a flashback that really doesn't tell you anything. Something about a dirty bomb and Iran, a lot of people having notable levels of radiation, no one being able to run for office unless they've served and talk about a 'retaliation.' That hardly even wets the appetite! At least we see where the PEZ dispenser came from, so more than likely one of them makes into the Silo before whatever goes down, goes. Ugh! But it was good. I was in it right until then, the intensity was there, as well as the feel goods. Spoiler I love how Juliet left Silo 17, trying to draw the survivors there together. But I would have loved to have seen her Silo's reaction to her sign. She flashed it twice, so I think they could have spent a moment their reaction. Whether I liked the very last moments or not, I shall be looking forward to Season 3. Please, Apple, give us a Season 3.... Quote
Mog Posted January 18 Posted January 18 So, Severance Season 2, Ep 1 Spoiler What the hell happened to Helly? The story she gave the other innies is totally false, and even Irv’ picked up how the story doesn’t mesh. Does innie she know she’s outright lying, or did Lumon do something to her? Also very frustrating to be stuck in cubicle hell for this ep. Quote
TangledThorns Posted January 22 Posted January 22 We were just discussing streaming rates here but now its gonna be $19/month for Netflix?! F that 🤬 I get way more value with the MAX/HULU/Disney+ bundle for $30/month. Netflix to hike prices on standard and ad-supported streaming plans https://www.cnbc.com/2025/01/21/netflix-raises-prices.html Quote

Yep yep on both! I expect a MAX/HULU/Disney+ bundle price increase this year, ugh. We shall see with Paramount+ however I read rumors that they may partner with Apple+ which may be a good idea. I'll get a month or two's Netflix subscription when new seasons of shows we want to see are added, namely Stranger Things, and binge through them then cancel again. Quote

TangledThorns Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I was checking my emails from Netflix that I hadn't deleted going as far back as 2010 😅 2010: 2 DVDs out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan at $13.99 2011: Unlimited Streaming (no DVDs) for $7.99 a month 2020: Basic plan $8.99 <- this was before ads plan So in five years time Netflix's basic plan (no ads) subscription has doubled in price. F Netflix 🤬 Quote

derex3592 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) @Big s - I have it. Got it to watch all Star Treks and most Taylor Sheridan shows....basically Landman, 1923 and Tulsa King. It lags on my Sony TV pretty bad. Don't know why. It's a hardline connection and no other device in the house lags and no other apps on the Sony lag..odd... Anyone watching American Primeval on Netflix? woooow....LOL...talk about violent! Edited February 24 by derex3592 Quote

505thAirborne Posted March 12 Posted March 12 For those who watch The Righteous Gemstones, it's back & the season 4 opener did not disappoint in anyway shape or form. Respect to Danny McBride for putting together one of the most solid Civil War scenes on film in a long time. Quote

I haven’t watched it yet, but it feels like it was barely added on max. I could swear that it’s newer than the Last of Us and we’re barely going to be getting season 2 Quote
electric indigo Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Three episodes into "Paradise" (D+) and I like it a lot. Good writing & acting so far, and I could watch it for the cinematography & score alone. I hope it sticks the landing. Quote

I watched this, I think, it was certainly on, while I was doing other stuff and paid very little attention. For the talent involved, and the budget spent, this was the most boring, uninteresting, uninspired, by the numbers, made-by-committee, algorithm scripted blockbuster I've ever seen in my life. What an absolute waste of time, resources and talent, Netflix CAN NOT be banking on stuff like this to keep people subscribing, this was the most one and done film possibly ever. Robots looked kind of cool though, I guess. Quote
