I decided to watch the series "Yellowjackets", and I must admit, it's a good series. One season down, one more to go. (3 season is apparently in the works.)

If you take elements from: The Blair Witch project. X-Files, IT, Lord of the Flies, ALIVE (the rugby team in the Andes) and tie it in with a pretty solid story plus a cast of solid actors, yeah, it's a good show and I recommend it.

YELLOW JACKETS was unexpectedly good. Also had vibes from LOST too. Cool to see all the hot actors from the 1990s in it, lol.

On a side note we tried watching SLOW HORSES on Apple+ but couldn't get stay tuned to it after 3 episodes so we moved on to BAD MONKEY. Has some decent moments but won't care for another season.

Further side note we signed onto the MAX, Hulu, Disney+ bundle for $30 a month which seems like a good deal however I won't be surprised if the subscription price increases by this time next year, ugh.

Been watching Agatha All Along and really liking it. I thought I wouldn't, but the main character is compelling and the dialogue is pretty snappy.

It’s not the greatest show, but I thought there was a chance I’d dislike it. It’s not exactly a show I’d give a high recommendation to, but definitely better than the majority of the live action shows on D+

SNL still proving among lots of iffy skits, they can produce a Gem!!

That was good! Got a little 'whiff' of the twist before the end.

Saw this on one of the other sites I go to, and it is (IMO) just great!

Oddly, the background rhythm makes the Star Trek theme sound disco

Set in the world of Stephen King's "IT" universe. Coming 2025.

Is this gonna be similar to the Castlerock show?

Our Halloween choices this year were two movies by David Bruckner. "The Ritual" (Netflix) and "The House at Night" (D+) were pretty effective nerve-tinglers, with Ritual being very relatable if you're a hiking guy. Always stick to the map!

House has Rebecca Hall as a bonus, and a cool concept.

The impulse buy and waste isn't new (remember the Pet Rock?) but it does seem worse now than ever because of Amazon and social media.

I don't need to watch that documentary as I'm living it. I stopped buying "stuff" including sci-fi collectibles years ago and evolved on to spending money on consumables (eg food, drink) and experiences (eg spa, trips, dining, etc) instead. This includes tech as I don't want to upgrade unless I really have to. Used to be every 2 years for a new smartphone or computer but now I want them to last 5 years or more. Yeah, its great for the environment but its also great for my wallet and peace of mind with having less clutter in my house and not having to think about my children having to deal with it someday.

I do get on my wife about it though as she sometimes falls victim to the impulse buy. Retail therapy is not therapy.

At least for a PC a new one was required to play new games after a couple years (at the very least a replacement graphics card).  I have had the same PC now for 7 years and it still plays the latest titles.  Though it is old enough that I am buying a new one - something is going to go on it soon since they don't build them to last.

Smartphones, I've always kept till the existing one started going wonky, usually three to four years.

While I am enjoying DUNE PROPHECY, this is the best show out there right now, Billy Bob Thorton is superb in this series.

Too bad almost no one will see it. I still have yet to meet anyone that even knows a person with P+

I have Paramount+ and for its value ($60/yr) imho is a way better streaming service than Netflix and PRIME that costs 3x or more. Paramount's strength is in its Taylor Sheridan series (Landman, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Yellowstone prequels, etc) that we enjoy very much.  Also great for Star Trek fans too but I prefer the Taylor Sheridan series tbh.

Yeah I love P+, but I also watch The Challenge, Survivor, reruns of Comedy Central stuff and old school Jackass and Wild Boyz. Plus all the Trek, it's a solid channel.
