Valk-1S Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 The price jump up at Amazon JP as well to 20k Yen now. I think a week ago it was about 18k Yen. It's still cheaper than NY mark up price on their pre-order last year of 22k Yen. Here's hoping for the VF-25G and VF-25S reissue this year. Quote
barurutor Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Wow, didn't notice the 25G prices went up after a self-imposed buying freeze since Xmas last year. Good thing I have 2 G's then Quote
jenius Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Enough plain reissues, bring on the bundles! Quote
wm cheng Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Enough plain reissues, bring on the bundles! Hey, speak for yourself - I STILL NEED THE VF-25S Ozma for my armored pack. Come on, bring on the last of the reissues why don't ya?!!! Quote
megaprime Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 How much did you order it for? Even if it did go up, you're locked in at the price at checkout and not it went up to now. No sorry, what I meant was that is have only ordered the superpack and not the valkyrie itself. Quote
SaitouSad Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Hey, speak for yourself - I STILL NEED THE VF-25S Ozma for my armored pack. Come on, bring on the last of the reissues why don't ya?!!! this x 3. Need 1 for Super and 2 for Armored. Also, I'm probably one of the minority who doesn't like the tornado pack.. I think it looks a little ugly in Battoroid mode (all that stuff just hanging on the back).. That said, I did put in 1 for my spare naked VF-25F. Gonna leave it in Fighter mode Quote
Loop Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 ^ Funny, I used to think the same thing when I first saw the Tornado packs introduced to the Macrossverse. They have grown on me though over the years. Quote
sreichma Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I don't think the 25G will be reissued. Its almost been a year since they reissued the 25F and we haven't gotten anything since in regards to reissue valks, even if they do, at the rate were going now, the 25G wouldn't be reissued until 4th quarter 2015. Rabidweezil Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Unless I am mistaking, I think they printed the SMS on the leg armor upside down again. Check out the circled section. If it was attached to the leg and the little nubs were pointing up, from left to right it would say SWS. They need to rotate the stamp 180 degrees for it to be right. Quote
Deadeye_281 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'm sure they'll sort that out before July/August. Good catch Weezil! Quote
charger69 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Someone needs point it out to them first Quote
Deadeye_281 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. If you look at the Battroid pic of the new Tornado 25F, that same part is labelled correctly. Quote

Rabidweezil Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 That's good that it's not like that in the Battroid pic. Looking at the parts layout photo for Michael version shows it's wrong there too. But they could have actually used the same part for both photo shoots. Hopefully. Didn't the Ver 1 Tornado have an SMS stamp placed upside down on one side? Quote
Deadeye_281 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 As these are the initial release pics used to garner interest/sales, I'm guessing that they're just heavily photoshopped. Either that, or some Bandai insider guy who remembers the mis-printed leg armor from the V1 Tornado decided to put in a joke. Quote
Scyla Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm not a fan of the Tornado Parts in Gerwalk- and Battroid-Mode. But in Fighter-Mode it looks awesome. I think the most glaring flaw are the engine nacelles on the wing tips. They are just too big and bulky. In general the add-on sets are very large and bulky. The guns on the back are too long, the tail too, also the wings are two thick. For me the design on the Tornado Parts does not match the design of the underlying Valkyrie. However I never had a V1 Tornado Messiah so my verdict may change after I have the set in hand. That said I love the way the VF-25 with Tornado Parts looks in Fighter-Mode so I have to get one set. Scream Man Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 the one thing that has always bugged me about the Tornadoes is that the armor is all at the back. Would dhe chest plate from the Super armor fit on it at the same time? In battroid it would be fine, I'm just not sure if anything would block it in fighter. I don't THINK it would.... Quote
Chronocidal Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I know at one point, Bandai made a display with mixed and matched parts from the super, armor, and tornado packs, giving them various nicknames. There's a lot of potential for doing that I think, since most of the packs don't directly interfere with each other, as long as you keep specific groupings of pieces together. I think if you used the tornado pack wings and legs, you could potentially add the chest and back pieces from the armored or super sets. I'd like to think you could also use the tornado wings with any of the other sets, but they might interfere with the legs on the armored set. Quote

Scream Man Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I think I'll try it when i get mine. the chest, Hip, Waist and crotch plates should all fit with the Tornado stuff just fine Quote
Shukenzero Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Weren't the tornado parts designed to hide the v1 problems???...it doesn't do anything for me in battroid, but awesome in fighter mode...mixing and matching armour seems pretty awesome too...Man I wish bandai would make Klan a red 25! Quote
chyll2 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I thought Tornado was designed to have new content/design for the first Macross Frontier movie. (then the yf-29 for the second) Quote
skullmilitia Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 The Tornado armor was just a bridge to the YF-29. It gave the 25's quad engines, VTOL and the beam cannons. Quote
Phalanix Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 D'oh.. should've kept my 2nd VF-25G. Now I'll have a super part and Tornado part and won' be able to display both at the same time. Quote
