Alex Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Even if IS a huge printing error, there's no way this thing is going for anything under 15,000. I was actually anticipating this thing to hit 20,000. But 37,000?! Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Orguss W A S back Hey its still getting its first ever dvd release in the USA soon. Quote
CF18 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) It's about double of the other two "Variable action hi spec" figures: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10250026 and http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10250016 2x modes, 2x price? They even haven't fixed the tiny cockpit! Edited November 19, 2014 by CF18 Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 so 7.2" tall from a company that is pretty new to transforming mecha and they want $350 bucks for it? as much as i love that design ( i built the robotech transforming model kit revel released back in the day!) there is no way in hell i'm paying that mjuch for it. $200 TOPS and that is a stretch for a small figure like that. DarrinG Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Has the word 'cockpit' ever been more appropriate? Quote
technoblue Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Has the word 'cockpit' ever been more appropriate? LoL! I think the ZOE mecha have nothing to fear. Quote
MILKAUTICO Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Wtf!!!!! 37800 yens!!! This price is insane!!! This is Orguss is not Sparta. Quote
Beltane70 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Hey its still getting its first ever dvd release in the USA soon. Umm, second DVD release. While it wasn't that wide-spread, there was the ImaginAsian release from several weeks back. Quote
Renato Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Wasn't it back in 2006 or so? That's a lot of weeks, more than "several", I would say! Just kidding:D Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Umm, second DVD release. While it wasn't that wide-spread, there was the ImaginAsian release from several weeks back. Yeah I knew about that, so brain fart on my part. Still this release should be much wider and much better in terms of quality than that burn on demand release was. Quote
Delta Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I was really excited by this until I saw the price tag. Unless this ends up in the clearance bin for half-off I don't see myself picking it up... Quote
F360 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Is this all diecast? , even with that, the price should not be this high? WTF Quote
Hoptimus Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I hope that price is a typo, not that I buy the toys anymore but dayaaammn. I am waiting for the US Discotek DVD release.... Quote
danth Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 The Orguss battroid looks kinda cool but none of the other modes really look like anything. I can't really get into it. Quote
JB0 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Orguss' flight mode honestly almost looks like something out of R-Type. If only the cockpit were longer. Quote
no3Ljm Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 3 Man 7800 Yen??? That's crazy. Here I am wishing for a long time for an ulitmate Orguss figure which is still not somehow anime-accurate based on the prototype and yet have a price tag that high? Yamato/Arcadia's plain VF-1 Valks is taller and transformable too and it just cost less than $200. Wait, is this limited or made to order? Quote
technoblue Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Its made of pure gold . . . Damn. That means shipping costs are going to skyrocket. Quote
JB0 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Its made of pure gold . . .Just plain gold? Not iridium-plated, or gold-pressed latinum? LAME. Quote
DarrinG Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Ha! The price would really go up then ... Quote
Renato Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Price-point aside, it has been stated that this toy has been designed under supervision of Miyatake, so any inaccuracies to the anime or whatnot have probably been OK'd by him. Quote
jenius Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Didn't Kawamori 'supervise' the V1 DX VF-25 toy? I think that's all just a marketing ploy that involves sending the creator of the mechanical design a check for a photoshoot. Quote
Renato Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Didn't Kawamori 'supervise' the V1 DX VF-25 toy? I think that's all just a marketing ploy that involves sending the creator of the mechanical design a check for a photoshoot. That may have been true for the v1 DX 25, but so where is the photoshoot with a grinning Miyatake holding up the Megahouse toy? Kawamori hardly ever did that (not never, though) for Yamato products, yet it is a fact that he told them to re-do some parts and sections and keep changing the colours. Quote
danth Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Hey, if Miyatake doesn't mind that it sucks, that's good enough for me! Quote
treatment Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 new shots... http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-1/%E4%B8%8D%E6%96%B7%E6%9B%B4%E6%96%B0-2014%E5%B9%B411%E6%9C%8829%E6%97%A5-megahobby-expo2014-autumn-%E7%A7%8B%E8%91%89%E5%8E%9F-megahouse%E5%B1%95%E5%93%81-variable-action/ Quote
technoblue Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The ogroid is looking mighty sweet. And am I reading the site correctly, is tag hobby listing the MSRP at 35000 yen? Quote
CF18 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 The ogroid is looking mighty sweet. And am I reading the site correctly, is tag hobby listing the MSRP at 35000 yen? Correct pre-tax (8%) price. Japanese local stores and magazines are legally required to list after-tax price. Quote
mechaninac Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 For that kind of scratch, this thing better be 1/35 scale. 35K Yen is absolutely bat $hit crazy. Quote
Roy Focker Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Equals $294.20 (not including shipping). I like Orguss to but not that much. Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Looks lovely. But Y35000 worth of 18cm fig... hmmm... Quote
jenius Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 The problem I've always had with The Orguss mech is that none of its alt modes are very compelling to me and as such, I can never get myself to start buying the toys. Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Jenius, you don't like the Gerwalk mode? I only like Gerwalk and Orgroid mode for Orguss. Quote
