UN Spacy Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 The Jack Bauer POWER hour is back...but this time it's 12 episodes instead of 24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo4_r5RlBII Quote
myk Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Let's hope they stick to the 24 formula: 1. Jack is happy, frollicking with a loved one. 2. Terrorist plot to destroy the universe unfolds. 3. Jack is forced into the plot. Elisha Cuthbert is then kidnapped and tied to a chair/post/bed wearing a cute outfit. 4. Jack is forced to work for the terrorists. 5. Elisha Cuthbert wriggles around in bondage. 6. Jack finds a way to fight the terrorists. 7. Gunfights, death, Jack defeats the terrorists and wins. 8. Right before ending credits, another terrorist plot unfolds. Repeat as necessary... Edited March 12, 2014 by myk Quote
myk Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Well as I suspected 24 invariably fell back on its familiar plot points; I'm foggy on my 24 lore but most of you will recognize the types of people and the situations used in previous seasons. Nevertheless, it's great to see Jack back in action against the impossible mission. Go Jack! Quote

Aaagggreee, hopefully they will turn some of those character types and plot points on their ears to make things different. That said this first episode (or first two) were pretty action packed with Jack being his usual bad-ass self. -b. Quote
Frogze Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I prepared for this new season by finally watching season 8. I loved this season's start, the cast is stellar and there seems to be some over the top events coming soon. Can't wait for next week! Quote
Frogze Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 4 years already! And it is still a great watch today. That season had some really glorious Jack moments, I hope they have more of these in store Quote
myk Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Yeah, I've put a lot of time into re-watching seasons 7 and 8... Quote
TangledThorns Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 24 is one of the few series my wife and I enjoy watching together and we're glad its back. We watched Monday's episode on the DVR and it was awesome. The show has not skipped a beat. FOX should just bring back 24 for a few more seasons!! Quote
myk Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I'm sure this mini-series is a test of the waters for bringing 24 back to a more dedicated time slot.... Quote
