close313 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) "Hey! You break it! You buy it!" "Fine!!!!" rattles glass case... "Can I buy it now?" "Ummmm...." Bf_1U6GCMAAEgbg.jpg LOL I'll definitely do thatWere there any announcements of other releases for this year? Edited February 9, 2014 by close313 Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 The complaint isn't about the CAD drawings, it's about the poster being too blue, as far as I can tell. And actually, I wonder if the color in Macross 30 for the VF-0D was more blue than the series.. I might have to check that later. Quote
Newtype78 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Oh, yes, the 0D is a go! While I would love to see new 0S and 0A VF toys derived from this new toy mold, I'm simply happy to see that the 0D is going to get toy representation. It looks great so far to me. Time to start putting a dollar away a day to save up for this! Quote
Mommar Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Im not preording it bc the price and criticism is too low. We need higher prices and more compliants for me to be interested again. Jk, i really thought the blue was off but i kept it to myself. I liked david's photoshop But you guys really need to understand this is barely a prototype. This is a CAD drawing. Not the final design,it's the first one. A rough up. Shape, size, color. It's not the final decision on anything and it isn't intended to be . Flipping out on something like the color now is silly. They'll get around to nailing down the color around the same time they've done it for the YF-19, i.e. January of 2015. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Topic title/tags edited now that we know for certain. Quote
Nani?! Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Nice, big thanks to EXO for sharing the pics! As far as the color, it being just a CAD rendering being one thing, it's also whole a other thing to get colors right on printed marketing material. If the new arcadia valks are anything to go by, it seems the last thing to worry about is their willingness to listen to fan feedback on color. Super excited. Can't wait for the 0S and 0A! Edited February 9, 2014 by Nani?! Quote
Dimis Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Definitely more exciting than what could have been simply a VF-1 Max and Kakizaki reissue news. :-) Quote
CrazyDude Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 WF is over, anything else if interest at the Show? Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 This looks really amazing and wouldn't mind paying full prize since I really like the designs of the birds from macross zero. Wouldn't mind paying Arcadia 300$ a year to get a new mold. I'm really looking forward to a vf-1j hikaru reissue w/ super parts until it's Release though Quote
OmegaD3k Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 We’re already complaining about the color, by judging a photograph of a printed ad for a CG render? Seriously? In that case I’m canceling my preorder, since it looks like we get half a valk. Seriously though, can't wait for this! Already saving up for two (going to try a low-vis custom). Quote
Chewie Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 They're planning for once a year, right? Makes it a little more manageable. Quote
xrentonx Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 This is great new! Very happy it's confirmed. Quote
Twoducks Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Great news. Hope they make it fun to transform as the Vf-1 series was. Stuff like the Vf-17 and the Bandai valks are a pain in the ass to handle. Quote
troyness Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Not my cup of tea..but happy for everyone else that is excited about it's release..looks good Arcadia! I hope there are some other VF-1 reissues at some point this yr. Quote
Falcon18 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Well, we all know the 0D was coming and it's great to know that it's been confirmed. 2015 seems so far away... Any news on the variants that they'll be releasing for this year? Since they said that they'll roll out few variants per year.. Quote

Any news on the variants that they'll be releasing for this year? Since they said that they'll roll out few variants per year.. Same here, I was hoping that they would be announcing repaints/rereleases too. I guess it was just to announce the 0D and the tiny Macross Quote
Scyla Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 So now that the CAD is out can we tell that there will be a easy conversion into a VF-0S/A? Personally I would be more interested in the reissues from Arcadia instead of the VF-0. No news about a VF-1S Max or VF-1A Kakizaki or the Super/Strike-Packs? Quote
Tochiro Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 No, no news on any of those. The VF-0D, mini-SDF1, YF-19, and Gunpod were what were at the stand. …and the Gunpod was really nice to hold :-) Quote
Scyla Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I envy you! Maybe for the next Wonder Festival Arcadia will offer a VF-1 costume to go with the Gunpod. You know something like this: Quote
Raya1823 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 20140209_130311.jpg 0D!! Cool, look forward to this one as well. Quote
close313 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Notice that the 0D is using the swing bar mechanism for the legs. Quote
Reïvaj Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Yeah, I had noticed that. I absolutely love what I see. So far I find no reason to complain, even about the color after seeing a photo taken correctly. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 yeah, i'm pretty disappointed. not enough people complaining. i expect more. Quote
skullmilitia Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I expected to see at least one reissue announcement. Weird! Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 there's more girls in this photo than last year's arcadia booth. I call them valks but whatever floats your boat. Quote
Scream Man Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 We’re already complaining about the color, by judging a photograph of a printed ad for a CG render? Seriously? In that case I’m canceling my preorder, since it looks like we get half a valk. ...i have to admit, that was my attitude on that subject.... Quote
danth Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (have NO desire for a 0A/0S, never have and never will buy one) I agree. I had a VF-0A once but I just couldn't get excited about it. Sold it. To me it was just a rehash of the VF-1. The VF-0D on the other hand has a freaking delta wing which is very exciting. Quote
Gakken85 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The VF-0 has a distinctive look over the VF-1. It's a much more classic looking plane in my mind, where as the VF-1 has an 80's modern feel. Idk if the old toys brought it out just right but you can see it in Tenjin art. But yea they suppose to be similar. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I call them valks but whatever floats your boat. you should really think about getting one and a 19 despite the high prices. think you won't regret it. Quote
dapro Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 There is no news on any reissue of vf-1? Quote
ErikElvis Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 The 0-A/S with the booster looks awesome. Cant wait to see how the D turns out. Id def get a updated A/S Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 you should really think about getting one and a 19 despite the high prices. think you won't regret it. $268 YF-19 with HLJs black monday rebate? I was fine with it before Arcadia went purple on it where there should be no purple and a VF-0D thats priced above $250 will be a no buy for me. Quote
