wmkjr Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Anti-aircraft and anti-fingers killer right there! Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It has never happened before with any other Valkyrie, but I did actually cut my finger on the 0D. It drew blood. Quote
UN Spacy Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Any requests you wanna see in my video review? Quote
Reïvaj Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So it's the pointless opposite to their YF-19. The YF-19 came with TONS of ordnance that was never seen nor used onscreen, nor did we see such equipment used by any other member of the -19 family. But had enough of it to load the valk up 3x over. Yet the 0D, is lacking much of the "Zero" equipment seen on-screen throughout the OVA (the "bronze" gunpods, triple-missile racks, etc), and doesn't have enough remaining weaponry to even fill up the existing hardpoints. Yeesh Arcadia. It's one thing to buy a $300 -19 and get some extra weapons you don't want. It's another to charge $300 for a 0D and not include just 2 more single missiles to fill up the last hardpoints. What missiles does it use on screen? The only time I dimly remember it being armed up is when it lands on the beach when escorting the helicopter in episode... 3? I prefer to think that Arcadia gave us the missiles the VF-0D used in its main battle + an extra hard point. No need to feel negative about this. Quote
Scream Man Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 See, thats the info I was looking for. Thanks Quote

abbadon Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Whoa! Three 0Ds! Very nice, Spanner! Glad you finally got them. Quote
xrentonx Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Three D's! Very cool The more I look at mine, the more I like the color they chose. It's a really nice shade of blue. Quote
spanner Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So back home now and time to play around with my Zero's! As soon as I saw the Zero-D I knew I had to have three, one for each mode! Quote

spanner Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Nice squad! Obviously we need at least 3 0D on display to give all the shades of blue this color can do. well my fears have been confirmed, she doesn't fit between the shelves of my Ikea Klingsbo cabinets in Battroid mode! the only way she is gonna fit is with a really aggressive action pose which I will have to do some experimenting to find one that looks good enough to keep in.. Dang some of those joints are friggin tight! Quote
spanner Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 ok so they are a little cramped but I am going to reorganize my display and have one next to Nora's SV-51 so they look like they are battling each other as in the anime! I managed to get the Zero in Battroid to fit but have to keep the feet retracted to their lowest setting and the head laser sticks back a bit far but at least it fits.. Loving these things to bits! Most transformation elements are very similar to a VF-1 which I like but they are a little more tricky and fiddly to do so. Quote
abbadon Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Nice setup, Spanner! You can also try to place the head laser on a forward position to make it fit on your display, if you want to. I really love the Gerwalk mode of the 0D! I actually have my 1D in Gerwalk mode as well. Something with the D and Gerwalk that just works. Quote

The biggest problem are these crappy display cabinets! I should have gone with the Detolfs.. but seeing I now have a half dozen Klingsbo im sorta stuck with em.. I too have my VF-1D posed in gerwalk and you're right it does look pretty sweet in that mode! Quote

I'd be lucky to fit a single one in fighter mode in my detolf. It's a huge plane! Quote
close313 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Spanner finally you got your D's! I bet you have finally relieved the "tension" when they came. Anyway one ultra minor nitpick is that the gunpod sits abit too back. The hook thingy (not sure what it's called) used for landing is supposed to reach down but it is blocked by the butt of the gunpod. Quote
Scream Man Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Hey does anyone who doesn't sticker their Valks up have any Sticker sheets from the older 0S or A? There are some stickers on those I'd like to add to my 0D, I'll pay a fair price of course. Quote

It's a huge plane! that was the original reason that I decided on the Klingsbo over the Detolf but I never expected Valks to get so large! When I restarted collecting I was only going to stick the VF-1 but that didn't quite work out as planned! Spanner finally you got your D's! The gun pod location was a bit of a stuff up! they could have made two different slots on the arms to mount the gun in different locations when either in fighter and gerwalk / battroid modes. The gun only needs to move about 10mm forward for fighter mode. its a shame the arrestor hook can't work as it should.. Edited March 6, 2015 by spanner76 Quote

Macross Zero ch.3_snapshot_22.05.jpg Macross Zero ch.3_snapshot_25.37.jpg Nah, David's pretty on point again. I liked having the additional ordinance with the 19 so I could load it up with whatever I wanted. This one has three hard points as well, give me enough missiles to customize the look as well. Quote

David has his opinion and you may agree with him but I still don't have any issues with what Arcadia offered. All the additional ordinance with the 19 were nice but all mine are boxed up. Quote
CF18 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It seem the tiny bit of glue was not attaching that piece to a painted die-cast part properly. The piece still attach back to the leg with a weak grasp. So watch out for tiny pieces falling off when you swoosh it around. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 spanner you are giving me some horrible ideas. all of a sudden i feel like i need a "backup" one or two....if the price was lower i think i'd double dip but nah...i barely got myself into getting this. i think i'll be happy enough with one..looks awesome in all 3 modes like that Quote
505thAirborne Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I dont remember that genie being in that shade of blue You're just not looking at it from the right angle! Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) I love Gerwalk mode! I agree. It is my favorite mode so far, but just slightly nudging out fighter mode. I love the typhoonish/tomcat cross breed design Edited March 6, 2015 by ChaoticYeti Quote

Congrats:) haha! yeah I couldn't resist! it did put me out just a little but at the end of the day its only money and more always comes around.. and besides paying bills is overrated! No wonder you were counting the seconds for you VF-0D to arrive..... I mean all three. Amazing display my friend!! oh I assure you I certainly was counting the seconds! it did cost me a bit but im glad I got the three of em! They look awesome on display! Thanks everyone for posting all those photos. Don't know how much longer I can resist... resist the urge to resist and buy one! you know deep down you want to! I dont remember that genie being in that shade of blue yeah its cos he made a cameo appearance in one of the Zero eps! LOL! jk.. So watch out for tiny pieces falling off when you swoosh it around. yikes! bits falling off already! I guess it was inevitable.. I had a quick look at those parts on mine and they seem secure enough. I'll admit I don't really like those fan blade looking exhausts much but were they like that in the anime? I would have thought they would have been similar to the VF-1 exhaust tips..? spanner you are giving me some horrible ideas. all of a sudden i feel like i need a "backup" one or two....if the price was lower i think i'd double dip but nah...i barely got myself into getting this. i think i'll be happy enough with one..looks awesome in all 3 modes like that hehe! there is nothing wrong with having a few extra! even I was thinking of picking up another just so I can play with it and still leave the other three on display! but yeah on the other hand they are still kinda pricey and there are other things I have my eyes on that I want to buy.. Has anyone stickered up (customized) their toy yet? Scream Man was in the process of doing so and im sure we will see some pics very soon! I love Gerwalk mode! Gerwalk is BOSS! and this thing can pull some pretty aggressive poses too! Quote
