aaajin Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Wait, what optional parts are on the chest? The *bumps* (or were they fuel tanks?) were removable in the 0S/0A. I believe those were swappable with parts that have slots to attach the ghost. Quote
chyll2 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 How much diecast are in the legs of the VF-1 and those with the same design? Never handled any of the older Valks. if i remember it correctly, only the landing gear Quote
Falcon18 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The swingbar on the legs and the piece below the chest piece are also diecast on the VF-1. Wait, what happened to the coloured prototype? lol. It's like the updates are going backwards. Quote
Raya1823 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 WOW, this looks great!! Guess, I'm just a simple person I'm not fired up by the color or the line art accuracy. I just want more and more of these wonderful and amazing collectables. Or as my 13yr calls them to his friends, " 'dad's special toys' you can just look at them but DO NOT touch them!" LOL Quote
Mommar Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Looks like they figured out if the arm pieces are all diecast with plastic attached to the outside they won't randomly disintegrate like the old version. Quote
ULessa Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Would like to see the day a full diecast toy comes out massive chunk of gokin! Quote
chyll2 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Would like to see the day a full diecast toy comes out massive chunk of gokin! i would like to see one cause I will never be able to afford one Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Popy made 100% diecast toys in the 70's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popy Edited July 17, 2014 by YF-29 Durandal Quote
xrentonx Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Lookin good! I'm gonna preorder and not worry like I do for every release! Quote
jvmacross Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Or as my 13yr calls them to his friends, " 'dad's special toys' you can just look at them but DO NOT touch them!" LOL Smart kid Quote
close313 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 .. the arms still explode... Hey don't jinx it! XD Quote
jvmacross Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Would like to see the day a full diecast toy comes out massive chunk of gokin! Would you settle on an itty-bitty one for now? Just like the YF-19 before it this one will probably end up on Mandarake at reduced prices. I hope not. The worrisome thing about releasing one new mold a year is what happens if the release is less than successful? better make sure your re-releases are what your customers want I guess.... Quote
Hey-Pi-Ron Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Wait, what optional parts are on the chest? The *bumps* (or were they fuel tanks?) were removable in the 0S/0A. I believe those were swappable with parts that have slots to attach the ghost. No-no-no. I mean maybe it can have optional parts for chest like VF-1? Quote
close313 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) No-no-no. I mean maybe it can have optional parts for chest like VF-1?Not sure what you are talking about, maybe you could elaborate with any pictures?. The VF-1's never had any kind of optional chest stuff unless you mean the heat shield or a different chest like the 1D/VE-1/VT-1 ?or the GBP? Edited July 17, 2014 by close313 Quote
Falcon18 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I think he means the side covers like the VF-1s have as this 0 has a gap on its sides as well. Quote
close313 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I think he means the side covers like the VF-1s have as this 0 has a gap on its sides as well. D'oh that figures *facepalm* Btw isnt it late already Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 New from Mr K. https://twitter.com/Mrk_arcadia/status/489682304403394561/photo/1 i'm confused it was colored but it's not... this must be T-2 Quote
chyll2 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 D'oh that figures *facepalm* Btw isnt it late already yeah, they will save it on the 40th year anniversary release Quote
close313 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Haha i actually meant that it's already 2am in our timezone(now it's 3am). But i think your point is also valid. Knowing Arcadia's frequency(and choice) of releases, it will take years for that to happen. I hope Mr K will tease us(if they did such a thing) some slots or that sort of thing if they had developed the VF-0D's similar parts to the VF-0S to attach the reactive armor parts. And hopefully that wouldn't end up as another WF exclusive. Quote
505thAirborne Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 i'm confused it was colored but it's not... this must be T-2 They probably have at least two prototypes to work with, or these are pre-painted pictures for Arcadia to reassure us... "Yes we're using Diecast for the arms!" Quote
close313 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Something is censored on his laptop in that picture! Could it be *insert wish here* ?!?! (Just a joke relating to cryptic messages Mr.K did last time, don't take this too seriously..) Quote
Raptor One Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) That's the 9th image from Mr. K with something censored in the background! Arcadia 1/60 VF-9 Cutlass CONFIRMED!!!!!!! Edited July 17, 2014 by Raptor One Quote
treatment Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 New from Mr K. https://twitter.com/Mrk_arcadia/status/489682304403394561/photo/1 Is that brass? Oh, and the colors are a bit not blue. WTF, Mr.K?! Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 hehehe, the resin prototype is probable the one with the test paint. VF-1 landing gears are diecast only. If I'm seeing correctly that pictures shows quite a few good things acknowledging the old VF-0 problems. - The shoulder hinge is THICK, not like the VF-1 - Shoulder appears to have two articulations points, to rotate up and down and to rotate laterally, the old VF-0 had just a ball joint. - Brass to prevent exploding cheap plastic arm - Double jointed elbow like the VF-1 - I think the gray piece is a sliding mechanism for the arm to slide in and out the forearm for a more compact fighter mode. And yes, that chest hole is dying for options parts! C'mon Arcadia!! Quote

David Hingtgen Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Yup, that was my first thought too--that's dead-on what color it should be. (and it should be, since that scene is set "in day-time sky" and not in a hangar, at dusk, or anything else that'd affect the coloring) Forwad that to Mr K and say "match this color!" Quote
Reïvaj Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 [...] Forwad that to Mr K and say "match this color!" Sir, yes sir! Quote
Silverstreak Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Would like to see the day a full diecast toy comes out massive chunk of gokin! Yeah, they tried that with Transformers, the Titanium line. It wasn't good. Quote
wm cheng Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Oooh, I'd definitely hope they release the grey low-viz version in the background as well. Quote

The Old Man Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 So this is what you want... But this is what you'll likely get... Personally, I'm looking forward to a Valk with a full two tone paint job (the white underside). It'll be my first I think. Quote
