Honestly, i just wanted to show the real science fiction part of the movie...which is not transformable jets, space folds or giant aliens but a man who gets to choose between two women. Always found that part not believable at all.😂

Thanks.

My DX 21 is next. Still in the box while I make room for it. I just had to open the Ostrich first because of the color and be because it is the only VF that I will ever display in Gerwalk mode 😂

Battroid pics are awaiting.

As a hard fan of the J variant of the VF-1 I have been considering on getting that one. But a $150 USD at BBTS I think is a little bit step on the price, plus I'd have to throw in around 28 USD on import taxes.

I posted in the ThreeZero thread how I felt pretty positive about it in its default Battroid mode.

I’ve just taken it to Fighter, & in the process the appeal of this toy has diminished rather considerably.

Will make a follow up post in that thread in a day or two, but as quick summary my experiences have been pretty much the same as @Chronocidal’s, including that overly tight shoulder slider joint.

So it may not be worth to stretch $$$ to obtain this..

Yeaah, if I hadn't completely disassembled the valk and manually drilled out those shoulder sliders to move, mine would have been entirely incapable of transforming to fighter.  They required so much rocking back and forth around the shaft to slide at all that there was no physically possible way to slide them without completely detaching the legs to get them out of the way, meaning pushing them between the intakes to go to fighter mode was just not happening.

If you believe the Bandai DX is the next step in the evolution of the Yamato 1/60 VF-1 but in 1/48 form, then the ThreeZero is the evolution of the Yamato 1/60 in the same scale...more or less...

If you do not think the 'DX' is that much better than the old Yamato 1/60 VF-1, then it probably makes sense to wait another 10 years or so for the next 'VF-1' from whoever decides to update it....or maybe wait for a Black Friday sale!

After being in GERWALK mode for the past few months, I finally transformed my HMR VF-4 to permanently be displayed in battroid with the 1/60.

Nice pose. :good: VF-4 battroid really looks best when it's looks like its flying through the air rather than standing on ground.

Thanks. Really loving the VF-4. Still have an extra one sealed... thinking about whether to keep it and display in Gerwalk mode which always reminds me of the original sketch.

But my main motivation to display it in a flying pose in battroid is to be able to use the stand with Misa and Minmay on it. :)

Tweaked it a little bit so it's mounted higher on the stand and more centered to the position of the 1/60.
