Robin-11 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Honestly, i just wanted to show the real science fiction part of the movie...which is not transformable jets, space folds or giant aliens but a man who gets to choose between two women. Always found that part not believable at all.😂 Quote

I just had to open the Ostrich first because of the color and be because it is the only VF that I will ever display in Gerwalk mode 😂 Battroid pics are awaiting. Edited September 4 by Froy Quote

I’ve just taken it to Fighter, & in the process the appeal of this toy has diminished rather considerably. Will make a follow up post in that thread in a day or two, but as quick summary my experiences have been pretty much the same as @Chronocidal’s, including that overly tight shoulder slider joint. So it may not be worth to stretch $$$ to obtain this.. Edited November 1 by MKT Quote

So it may not be worth to stretch $$$ to obtain this.. Yeaah, if I hadn't completely disassembled the valk and manually drilled out those shoulder sliders to move, mine would have been entirely incapable of transforming to fighter. They required so much rocking back and forth around the shaft to slide at all that there was no physically possible way to slide them without completely detaching the legs to get them out of the way, meaning pushing them between the intakes to go to fighter mode was just not happening. If you do not think the 'DX' is that much better than the old Yamato 1/60 VF-1, then it probably makes sense to wait another 10 years or so for the next 'VF-1' from whoever decides to update it....or maybe wait for a Black Friday sale!
