Man, that's not just about the nose - valkaholism dictates that *everything* on a valk is a fact for drooling. And the VF-4, along with the yf-19... _exhudes_ a lot of those factors. Man, are those beautiful valks! And under your camera they look even _sexier_.

Thanks ^_^ I actually have a strong urge to go back and redo that VF-4 pic, because the canard can be pushed in further such that its flush instead of the gap it currently has & that bugs me quite a bit..
But 'volkaholism' is a new vocabulary I'm liking a lot! haha.. :good: I do love the YF-19 too, and it's quite the perfect FSW shaped valk from all angles.

Damn nice Jetfire!  You never see Jetfires that clean that aren't boxed.  Been looking for some on eBay and they all come with wear in some form or other.  Usually most visible on the nose.  And Jetfire's one of those magnificent display pieces that doesn't display well with weathering.

Of the various Yammie v2 I have, I think the Low-Vis has the most intense rainbow tinted canopy..

"Well Biggs, last we met you weren't too happy with Gerwalk being not large enough to battle the alien giants. What do you think now?"

Is it bad that every time I see “Low-Vis,” I automatically think of the 1/48 grey one? :unknw:

Haha I think that’s what most think of too, seeing how memorable that scheme is.

Last couple pics for the Low-Vis. Took some time to try give it a slight burnished surface look, compared to most other Low-Vis pics from past couple of weeks.

After handling the v2 quite a bit, I now feel the shortcomings of the mold in Battroid. Mainly, the hips could do with more range of motion - perhaps pull out hips like the HMR, or more twisting range where the joint meets the hip.

The DX really advanced articulation by introducing the sideway drawer joints & giving more clearance space behind the hips. Threezero then picks up from there and gave much needed larger ankle rocking range with the new ankle flaps.

But handling the Yamcadia v2 is still a tactile pleasure - the ratchets, the tightness & precision.

Oh and these pics are dedicated to @macfan23 -_-

Yamato says it is Roy's, but I just never considered it to be his.. always treated the scheme to be an un-named commander's unit.

Not sure if it's ok to post this question here but it is kinda pose related.   Would the old Yamato stands with the different adapters that came with them work with the newer Arcadia Valks. the Macross Zero specifically?  I've got one of the chrome/silver ones and wondered if it was worth keeping if it can't be used on those valks.

Just some generic stuff...inspired by some other art

Inspired from the MAT Angel Birds pic I used for an old MW Splash Page
I always liked the gerwalk legs with the non-folded tail fins look

And the other inspired by Takani
The dynamic bird type poses from him are just awesome.

  • 2 weeks later...

Now that the main schemes for HMR VF-0 are almost done, I hope Bandai doesn't abandon Macross Zero in this line and continue on to say, the SV-51. It'll be great if they surprise us with the destroids from Zero though.

Sometimes struggle to decide which effect I like when editing the pics. Here's a couple of same ones as above but with an additional layer of texture.

Spoiler
