Although it would be more accurate to say I started with a custom leg-art sticker for the GBP-1S, this little bird . . . with just its custom stickers (thanks, @Anasazi37) and the black-painted nuke tips was my first true step into the world of customizing:

All the later customized Star Wars figs, GI Joe figs, later panel-lined Valks, and custom YF-21, it all started with this first step into a larger customizing world.

I was literally about to pack this guy up and put him for sale but when I cleaned him up and took some sales pics I was like "Oh Hell No"

A shame, I am trying to buy this.

Just for reference, how much would you ask it?

It would've gone for around 275 USD for the set

If you change your mind about selling, my money is yours.

Damn right you're not, you put that Armored VF-1A right back on the shelf & enjoy it!!

Thanks,

Other than swapping parts, the only thing needed to make this look complete is to paint the arm missiles white on the green armor.

Looks more like an expression of disapproval to me...

I'm honestly not sure what Bandai was thinking with that pose.

Nice find! They were probably thinking that the fans would like to reenact that pose.

without having my '1-D in-hand, is the Minmay pose not purposely crafted to depict her being carried in the '1-D's hand? it's not like the VF-1 can actually CARRY her*... work it out with your own hand... she had to use her arms [braced against the hand] to help support her own weight...

*Hikaru can't even make the damned thing walk, and he picked up a teenage girl? Yea... SHE is supporting the vast majority of her own weight on that one... if only so Hikaru didn't squish her like a tube of toothpaste...

Well, I suppose that's what Bandai was going for... but it's not terribly convincing, to my eye.

Nice! :good:

Would’ve been great if the Hikaru figure can swivel the head. ;)

If I am brave enough, a sharp knife and a small metal wire can resolve this.
