m0n5t3r Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Ver. 1 body with ver. 2 head. Looks so much better. These KC figures scale really well with the Riobot figures compared to SHFs and Figmas. Quote
MKT Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Yamato destroids may have pretty good articulation for its time. There are quite a bit of moving joints, but ultimately it falls a bit short by today's standards and Arcadia should have updated it a little in their recent re-issue. Specifically, the hips could do with a proper drop-down function to enable a wider & more dynamic A-stance and in this regard, the HMR is far superior by not only having said full drop-down hips, but the side skirt pieces also pivots upwards out of the way. Pilot in cockpit still a nice touch though, even if he will be completely hidden most of the time. Quote
Raikkonen Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 @MKT Epic as always!!! Only disappointment with the HMR, is the lack of a pilot from what I've seen. Quote
MKT Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Thanks @Raikkonen. Yeah HMR destroids should have pilots included, would have especially loved to see a trio of them for the Monster. Quote

I really do like the other mini-figs that came with them though, and wish Arcadia made more variety of them to include with their valks. The whole Firebomber mini-figs that came with the VF-19 Kai was a nice touch. Quote
m0n5t3r Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 VF-0D looks really good in battroid. I'll try to be patient when I try to transform it later Quote

MKT Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Had these Lil Drakens right from when they were released. But this is the first time I'm mounting them onto a valk. I did know from the onset that I wanted them on the 31S instead of the 31F, due to how well the colors match.. Lil Drakens on VF-31 may seem to be an afterthought both in movie & toy form, yet strangely enough from certain angles (mostly from above) the Lil Draken's wings can look as though it geometrically matches the VF-31's. By slanting the ghosts' wings a certain way, it picks up & flows through where the VF-31's wings are cut off. Together with the matching paint scheme, it is as though the VF-31S now have extended delta wings with boosters in between. Quote

Yeah the Lil Drakens actually look really good when paired with Arad's ride. Quote

I was talking in general about the Destroids they've released so far, all with pretty tiny pilotless cockpits. MKT caught what I meant😉 (But the HMR Tomahawk prototype does exist.) How many years has it been since people were singing Bandai's praises because the HMR line was "the most complete line" of Macross toys? Quote

I got those minifigs and soda machine from fellow MWF member EXO 10 years ago. I'm not remembering where he got the figures from in the first place but he painted it. Quote
Mog Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 “Blame EXO” 😅 I might be misremembering, but I believe he actually 3D printed those back in the day. And yes, that’s an absolutely lovely set-up you have going there, @locidm. Quote
