Legioss 1/35 custom

Hi guys,

I'm a fan of macross toys, especially the vf 1A and the legioss toy

My future scratch build project ?

a fully transformable 1/12 or 1/18 super valkyrie Vf 1S/J/A.

Here are some pics of my legioss custom legs' articulations.

I took the balls joints from my brown lego bionicle! Check it out!

With 2 springs and plastic cards, I'll be able to build a bigger head for my Legioss.

I've modified the top of the Legioss too.

No, not for this one.
But I manage to build 3D parts for my next project (a fully transformable super VF 1S ).

To build a bigger head, I roughly drilled and cutted the bottom of the head in 3 parts.

I'll glue 4 rectangular platic sheets in the hole I've made below the antenna.

The two other parts will be able to slide on each side of the head.

I use the more Legioss parts I can, 'cause they are very sturdy.

CHEST WIP:

I drilled a hote in the chest to put rook ride armor in.

It was very difficult to put it in, because there was not much space..

You can see below the comparison between the original legioss opening chest and mine...

chest WIP 2:

I cut and glued tiny plastic cards to build parts for the lower chest.
Even if it has been a long and very difficult process putting these parts together with tiny screws,
I'm quite happy with the result .

I took 6 pics of the chest's transformation mechanism.

Dreamed of this for like...forever. Didn't have the guts to attempt surgery like this on my Gakken and haven't been equipped to attempt 'Chinese engineering industry'-protocol of replicating each part for such mods.

I tried to build new wings with plastic sheets , but it didn't work...It was too complicated

That's why I decided to build these parts using meshlab.

I've created my own legioss articulated hands too. That was tough...

I have also built a more elaborate version of these fingers

No problems have been encountered concerning the fingers: they are all mobile!!!

Hi everybody, I'm back!

I've spent the last two months designing my new scratch build project : a 30 cm blue legioss.

The toughtest parts to design were the cockpit and the landing gear.

This photo is one of my first sketches I drew 2 months ago.

The fingers I've made for my 1/35 legioss were too big.

So I have to draw and to print them again with the correct size.

The knees have been modified.

I added and glued some plastic sheets to make my legioss much taller than the original one.

I 'll finish them tomorrow 'cause I used a bi-component epoxide glue.

I ended the knees much faster than expected

I drilled 2 holes in each knee and plastic sheet before driving the screws .

Then I sanded the top and the bottom of each parts.

Looking great, love all these modifications you're making. The final result should be pretty damn amazing!
