Scyla Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 New FF7 BringArts figures (6") of Tifa and Aerith: Even more ridiculously priced at ¥13,200. Especially for not having any real accessories or effect parts. Source: https://news.toyark.com/2022/09/14/final-fantasy-vii-bring-arts-aerith-and-tifa-figures-483285#images I will probably get one of each. Yes I know that I’m part of the problem. I hope they get to Yuffie, Vincent, Cid, Red XIII and Cait Sith. Quote

I hope they get to Yuffie, Vincent, Cid, Red XIII and Cait Sith. That looks nice. It's closer now to the original game design. But like the last Bring Arts Cloud release that I skipped, I'll probably skip these too. I got tired of PlayArts only producing a handful of characters first and not complete the whole cast in one line. If they complete it this time around, good for most collectors. And I also don't find their current price reasonable anymore. Oh well. Quote
Big s Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 These are way over priced for six inch figures. They do look good. It would definitely be more than a thousand dollars for me to get the characters that I want. I do think these look great and really look like the game designs, but even though they look great, it’s not like they look very complicated. They definitely don’t look like they’re worth more than $60 Quote
Duymon Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 At 13000 yen a pop they should've included an extra torso for Aerith with a katana sticking out of it. Just sayin Quote
Scyla Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Now with these super line art accurate sculpts I would love the get the cast of Chrono Trigger in the Bring Arts line. Quote
Scyla Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 (edited) New Final Fantasy 7 BringArts figures: Barret (¥12000, release 04/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72869 Sephiroth (¥12000, release 06/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72870 Red XIII (¥12000, release 09/24): https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=72871 That leaves Vincent, Cid, Yuffie and Cait Sith. I hope they release Vincent and Yuffie so I can have at least my go to party in 6" scale. Edited September 21, 2023 by Scyla Quote
Tking22 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 These all look good but they're soooooo damn expensive, more-so considering the tremendous lack of accessories and the size, except Cloud of course, which comes with that absolutely useless garbage-ready NFT nonsense. I remember when Play Arts were this price, and much bigger, now Play Arts prices rival Hot Toys, frakking crazy. Quote

MKT Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 These Bring Arts figures are really nice, love the gradient shading they show in the pics. But yeah the price really look ambitious. Quote

Scyla Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I have to give it to Square Enix. Unlike Bandai they manage to release the whole team: BringArts FF7 Vincent Valentine (11/24 ¥12000: https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=76770) BringArts FF7 Cait Sith (02/25 ¥12000: https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=76769) BringArts FF7 Cid Highwind (01/25 ¥12000: https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=76768) BringArts FF7 Yuffie Kisaragi (10/24 ¥12000: https://www.anime-export.com/index.php?product=76767) Quote
Tking22 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 The rest of the cast looks great, and I'm still loving that they went with the art style from the original game and not the Remake series. But damn, they are crazy pricey for what they are, small and light on accessories, Square's Play Arts stuff has just gotten out-of-line expensive. Quote
no3Ljm Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Wow. After almost 20 years, they finally able to complete the cast in Bring Arts form? I started this Play Arts journey when they released Final Fantasy VII during the early 2000's with a number of characters left out such as Cid and Caith Sith. And then they announced the Kai line. Same thing. Released only a few characters. And then we enter the Remake line, where I basically stop on planning on completing the line aside from just getting Cloud with Daytona and/or Fenrir. Seeing that they plan on completing the characters in Bring Arts size, as much as I love FFVII and love to have the whole cast in figure form, I can't bring myself now due to its price. And my interest is waning down now. So thank you Square-Enix. Quote

I had a Cait Sith figure, but can’t remember if it was from the original game line or one of the other ff7 lines they had going. gotta agree about the prices. I may get Vincent and Cid, but the whole line is gonna be way way too expensive Quote
no3Ljm Posted February 11 Posted February 11 (edited) From WonderFest Winter 2024. Yes. They all look nice. All of them. But, not individual Y12000 nice. That's total of Y120000. (US$804 in today's currency exchange.) Edited February 11 by no3Ljm Quote

It’s tough because even with picking and choosing, these individually are still too expensive. They look great though, and I’m trying to tell myself that I don’t need any of them because I got most of them for a fraction of the price and twice the size Quote

kajnrig Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Square's merch was always annoyingly overpriced, but never absurd. But I stopped paying attention altogether after they started skimping and jacking up prices on products that were ALREADY barebones and overpriced. I remember when this Bring Arts series was supposed to be their "budget" line, but now they cost nearly as much as their more premium lines while still using all the same budget materials/processes/etc. Quote

no3Ljm Posted July 11 Posted July 11 For those who purchased Bring Arts FFVII Cloud and wants a Hardy Daytona bike, it's now up for preorder for Y16800. April 2025 release. And for those who missed Cloud the first time, there's a set with Hardy Daytona for Y27000. Zack Fair is also up for preorder for July 2025 release. Y12000. Quote
Big s Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Honestly, Cloud with the bike are more worth the price than cloud on his own Quote

But man, seeing the amount of the set, it's atleast Y7000-Y10000 shy away from the Play Arts Kai Hardy Daytona a few years ago. This is based as far as the Yen pricing goes. And it's why I didn't bother getting the Bring Arts FFVII even though this time around they're finally making all the characters. Quote

It’s even worse for me, since I would have loved this scale over the large ones. I have a lot of the movie and some remakes versions, but those were barely over twenty bucks. These are nearly a hundred, but have all the characters the way I would have wanted them. It really breaks my heart that I can’t get them all or even a few. Quote

What breaks my heart though is that I wanted to look the other way when I saw these since I'm not going to get it, but then still wanted to share the announcement to the community. How ironic. Square really did took advantage of it since they know it's their famous FF franchise. Quote

Tking22 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Holy hell, those prices are frakking insane. I saw the reviews for Cloud, mostly bad articulation, falls apart easily, not great QC, and $100+ per figure? So for the full Turks and Rufus you're looking at roughly $600? For 5.5" figures with very few accessories, dodgy QC, and limited articulation? Who the hell are these for? If you want the best there are other brands making much better figures for cheaper, yes, probably not from OG FFVII, but still, this must be a joke. Quote

He was wondering if I will get some because he knows how much I love FFVII. I told him that I already gave up on that dream to have all of them. I already gave Square enough money when they started doing Playarts FFVII figures in the hopes that it will get completed one day. And now that it's available in a sweet size where you can display it along with the rest of the other 'human' figures, I decided not to get them. The only reason is the price. I'm actually thinking of selling the others in the future by a lot just to dispose of it after I sorted out all my figures. I'm only keeping PAK's Clouds with Fenrir and Hardy Daytona, Sephiroth AC, Squall, and Noctis. Quote
