Squigglysquid Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'm probably breaking some rule making my first post here, but I like to lurk about the internet looking for cool models and things of beloved Macross, and I happened upon the モスカト stuff and went "ooooooh"...which led me to stumbled about here a bit before finding I could...BUY ONE?! =D Can I, can I? The craftsmanship is AMAZING! Anyway, I should be asleep now, but if I could find myself on a list for one of these, that would make my day! Cheers! Quote

DarkArchon3000 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) Captain, I don't mind giving one up if necessary so that Squigglysquid can get one. We've all been Invid deprived for too long. Edited January 25, 2014 by DarkArchon3000 Quote
Squigglysquid Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Captain, I don't mind giving one up if necessary so that Squigglysquid can get one. We've all been Invid deprived for too long. arigatou! Seriously, I definitely appreciate it. If the molds will allow for 7 then I don't want to take from anyone else, but I'm grateful you're willing to let me in if that's not an option. Quote
derex3592 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) So today I went to Hobby Lobby as they have a decent selection of the Vellajo acrylics I've been looking at. They didn't have the purple colors of course, but MegaHobby carries them online so I ordered 1 of each of the following to try. Royal Purple, Purple, and Violet. These seem to be the best bet for the Crabs so far, as Tamiya and Testors do not offer a suitable dark NON pearl purple. I purchased one bottle of Vellajo Neutral Grey just to see if it airbrushed nicely for me. It does! I thinned it with distilled water as per the Vellajo website and it layed down nicely on some spare parts I had lying around. Looks just as good as Tamiya IMHO. They have something like 200+ colors in their model paint line with FS standard colors and lots of other cool colors as well. I may have found my new favorite paint. We'll see! So when I get the 3 purples in I will put up some pics of paint tests and let you guys see what you think. More to come. Edited January 26, 2014 by derex3592 Quote
derex3592 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Picked this up today to soak all my resin parts in. Hopefully this will prevent paint not adhering to the parts on down the road. Quote
