While wondering if Arcadia would consider a reissue of the VF-1D, I came across this little gem and snapped it up right away. (No option parts but I can live without those for now)

The toy for its age is extremely clean & snug, only issue are those dreaded cracked shoulders, luckily I have a spare set from Shapeways and know how to fix it, for what I paid for this VF-1D, a small repair is worth it. B))👍

^ How difficult is it to replace the cracked shoulders? I'm not a customizer and don't have much experience. TIA for any info you can share.

Not that hard. Just have to remove a few screws in the back and swap them right out. Yamato didn't glue everything shut the way Bandai does.

Like @Lolicon just posted it's not that hard. I sent you a PM with a YouTube video of how to do the repair.

A little patience and you'll nail it!

Perfect Grade Perfect Strike.

This thing is nuts. Sooooooooo much stuff going on. Very cool mode. Fiddly and very fragile though. And HUGE. Posed like this it’s 21” tall, 15.5” wide and 13.5” deep. I need to do some serious moving around so to get it in a case with good lighting. I feel horrible having it out in the “atmosphere”. It’s too nice.

Sorry for the crappy lit pics. It needs light to see all the paint details. I don’t have anything with enough light that is big enough right now. And I’m worn out from putting this thing together and posing it.

Where do you keep all of this stuff? For fun I tracked your purchases over a 30 day period and it was somewhere around 100 figures like above and 120 "Matchbox" type cars (plus other random stuff). What do you do with all of that stuff? If you extrapolate that out to multiple years that is a lot of cubic feet of toys. Do you display them? Do they sit in boxes? How big is your house?!?!

In my head I imagine you have a basement that looks like a Toys R Us with rows of retail displays packed with stuff.:shok:

FWIW, this is a pic of one of my spaces from over a year ago:

I can't even get an angle like that to photo anymore and I have another equivalent space filled to the brim and a garage that is completely filled floor to ceiling minus a spot for one car.

I believe in the US, people don't use the 'garage' as intended to be used. :good:

But don't get me wrong though. How I wish I have a garage so I can fill it up with toys.

Well, that certainly explains why the parking is so bad at my condo complex, despite everyone having 2-car garages.

I keep mine in the walk-in closet, personally.

I wish I could use my garage for storage, but the 110+ temperatures in the summer don't really make that a good spot for storing collectibles.

No walk-in closet either.. I just have them piled in my "hobby" room in the closet, and along the walls with my LEGO collection.

I use large durable plastic containers. They take up more space, but you can stack them mile high with no issues, they dont attract pests, and if I ever need to move their basically already packed (would just need to add cushioning material - which is how I move my clothes.😄)

You all need to update your homeowner's insurance to cover the replacement costs of all your treasures!  Rebuilding those collections after a tragic loss would be painful to say the least.  :cray:

I have a bunch of those too and use them as the base layer of my stacks so any less durable boxes are on top and more protected. The problem is if I bought enough of those boxes, it would take up even more room and cost me a ton of Valks worth of money.

I have a separate "collectibles" insurance policy.

Weren’t a bunch of GI Joe classified figures on sale for like 7 bucks each during this past weekend?

I saw mention of this on the latest Tyridium Hangar video.

What a perfect time to army build for those who collect these.

I’m not sure but it might have only been for a store called Bargain Hunt for Classified Firefly and Beach Head.

Still needs some stiffeners added below the shelves and top though, going to do that tomorrow.

Each level is approx 18"D x 36"W x 24"H
