Know what’s sad, back in 2011 the 11C was such a shelf warmer I bought my second and third on sale for $120 each at Hobby Link Japan.

Those were the days!

I can't see Arcadia anytime soon (or ever) doing a reissue of the VF-11B/C.

I don't think they'd ever release them again given how poorly they sold the first time out, however a reissue would be a terrible idea anyway.  As much as I like them still engineering has come so far since they were first made and there are tons of ways they could, and should, improve on them.

It's a good looking Valk. Well if you ever want to be rid of one give me a shout.

I agree, if the VF-11 should ever be revived by Arcadia it would have to be a completely new design/mold with a lot of improvements. For starters: Fixed pose hands, a lighter shade of grey ( I still feel the 11B is to dark), vertical stabilizer's that match the line art. More diecast for the shoulders and other hinges vs plastic. Improved articulation, A better looking Pilot and a shield that doesn't pop off so easily.

These are some starters, I haven't taken my VF-11B out for a while but I'm sure after handling again I'll enjoy it yet other improvements will come to mind.

You forgot the problem for the canopy shield covers. ;) Man, those are hard to put it on.

How’s the upper torso rotation on yours? I think the upper ball joint on mine is too tight, or at least much tighter than the lower one, and I think that was the reason why it took less force for it to pop off first than to move the upper ball joint.

While I was able to restore it back to original condition, I am left a little hesitant to rotate the torso again.

Otherwise, completely agree with your comments except for the one about a SOC Bandai version possibly being competition for it. As much as I like Bandai, I don’t see them surpassing Sentinel’s engineering. The only area where I think they’ll do better is the price point.

My torso joint is good, it does not feel louse or too tight. Have you been able to use the smaller of the two stand connectors? The stand arm with the smaller connector is too short to plug into the back port.

The Princess arrived two hours ago from Amiami. Got a few minor scratches on one of the wings and the triangle points are intact as I took it out of the box. Will have to tackle the transformation later on this week as I ordered the B/B graded box.

@Alex GS: No problems on my copy of the VF-171EX as I know that you're still hunting for the VF-31J. There's actually a sticker of the condition of the item and box close to where the UPC code is.

Great photos, Kuma.  That's pro toy porn right there :D

Opened this guy up today--my first Metal Build figure.  I'm really impressed with the weight and construction and balance.

Thanks for the confirmation. I tried twisting the torso again on mine and while it squeaks/creaks a lot, it’s no longer popping off. Maybe the ball joint just wasn’t properly seated in the factory, and after I reconnected mine it’s now a better fit.

I can use the smaller connector if I make the stance wider or bend the legs, but it’s not long enough for my standing pose. Honestly, I don’t think they needed to include the smaller connector. I would have been happier if they gave us a Stoner Sunshine effect part instead.

I’d love to help you but I don’t ever let go of things I’m interested in/collect.  Besides, I’m a bit of a decal fiend.  None of my stuff is going to be clean or like new.

I've just returned from Japan, so lots of new toys. Picked up a nice second-hand Max VF-1 HMR for 6,000 Yen - very happy!

Also came back to a statue I've been hunting for ages :)

Thanks brother, and honestly this pose makes me so excited to take Mazinger for a review and gallery spin. A balanced running pose is one of those things I think complanies just plain take for granted as it's way more rare than it should be.

Whoa, I didn't even know this existed! Definitely gonna have to search for one myself now.

Juri

Congrats on the vacation and the HMR. That Juri, though... I didn't like her when she first came out, but the artwork and figures of her have won me over handily. I really wish they'd bring back that costume for SFV.

Can I be part of the cool "I-overpaid-but-hell-it-was-worth-it" club?  Just finally got these two birds recently, from this very forum.

Wasn't lucky enough to get the first releases of either one (YF-21 doesn't come w/ fast pack/stand; VF-11B doesn't have flip top box) but just happy to have them in the collection w/o having to pay even higher eVil Bay prices.

Anyone wanna sell me a V2 1/60 Super Ostrich? :)

I just got my first official dx chogokin valk today. It's true. But why is the box so small? Surely it needs to be at least 3 times the size? When you're used to yamato sized boxes that take up half a room it's crazy to think there is a valk in there. Same with the Arcadia yf-19 I got, everything is cramed in. Oh how times have changed

If I had known a long time ago that HMR and 1/100 would end up being one of my main scales then I would have bought a lot more stuff.  I have another YF-19 without the Fast Packs coming in.  I might eventually paint that one into a VF-19A.

Nice find, need to find myself a VF-11 some day to go with the YF-21 and -19.

That's a really good price, and kind of tempting.  Do they have a TOS-era D7 to go with it though? Only down side is that the full lighting on that one would look weird next to the painted windows on the Enterprise.

I need to take a few pics of my recent arrivals, just got in my Arcadia Max, second HMR VE-1, and the Calibre VF-142 F-14A. ^_^
