captain america Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Did you miss me? After speaking with a fellow MWer yesterday, I realized that I was really starting to miss making kits! Since I'm waiting on a few other projects, I realized that I have a "window of opportunity" to work on some personal stuff, so I thought about offering a 1/10 Protector Inbit kit if enough people are interested. I haven't quite figured out a price because I don't know what kind of interest there would be for this thing, but I think it's safe to say that it would be under 200. I would need a minimum of 30 orders to get the ball rolling, and so I turn the mic over to you guys... What say you? Quote
Tober Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I'd be down for one, maybe two. What time-frames are you looking at for payment and completion? Quote
captain america Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 I'd be down for one, maybe two. What time-frames are you looking at for payment and completion? If I can get enough people to hit the minimum mark, I'd do this project as a pre-pay deal (pay up-front, then I provide my weekly updates as per my usual builds and ship when the kits are done) which would maybe be 2 months after the project start. Tober Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Ok, cool. If it's payment now I can only afford one tho. Given a few weeks I can afford a second one. Quote
cool8or Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I realized that I was really starting to miss making kits! I always knew that this day will come. Thank God! The world could have a lot of extraordinary sculptors, but sadly, no one make Macross projects. This fact makes you irreplaceble for us. Honestly, I have my fingers crossed hoping others projects from you, and you know it: 1/72 N-Ger 1/72 Q-Rau But, if you are decided to go ahead with the protector, I'll support you. Thank you John! http://members.optusnet.com.au/~cyc01/protect.htm Quote
captain america Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 The Protector could definitely be a warm-up for a 1/72 N-Ger, I certainly wouldn't rule that out. Quote
CoryHolmes Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Would you include the shield and/or energy rifle? Quote
captain america Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 Would you include the shield and/or energy rifle? Absolutely! It just wouldn't be complete otherwise. Quote
Smut Peddler Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Come on people, lets get this going. Quote
cool8or Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Mmmhhm... seems like the economy in USA is still weak... but please folks don't miss this oportunity: It's the only chance to get a kit of this mecha in your entire life! And Certainly, it will looks INCREDIBLE aside your Beagle's Mospeada!!! Quote
Phyrox Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) I'd certainly get one, depending on price I might get a second. Edited October 6, 2013 by Phyrox Quote
captain america Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Hmm, maybe Inbit subjects just aren't popular? Quote
Smut Peddler Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The right people just need to notice the thread Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I'm sending pm's to possible interested members. Come on peolple let's show the Captain and Mospeada some support!! Quote
cool8or Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Hmm, maybe Inbit subjects just aren't popular? In the past, I remember another Mospeada project from you that didn' have enough support, and never see the light... What was? Anyway, I'm contacting other people looking more potential buyers...let's wait a little more. Quote
skullmilitia Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 You kit builders should just make a kick starter and let the real buyers pay for your work up front. Quote
CoryHolmes Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 If it's $200-ish, I'm in for one. If the price climbs higher than that, will you let me know? Quote
niomosy Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'm curious but I'm probably going to have to wait and see at this point. Quote
cool8or Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 John goes beyond your highest expectatives buddy!! Quote
Gabe Q Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The Protector could definitely be a warm-up for a 1/72 N-Ger, I certainly wouldn't rule that out. Cap!!! While I'm glad to see you back, Mospeada just isn't my cup of tea. But an N-Ger, that'll be something! Quote
captain america Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 In the past, I remember another Mospeada project from you that didn' have enough support, and never see the light... What was? Anyway, I'm contacting other people looking more potential buyers...let's wait a little more. It was the Inbit Gurab... 1/48, I think. It was a long time ago now. I have to wonder if perhaps it wasn't simply a matter of timing too. If it's $200-ish, I'm in for one. If the price climbs higher than that, will you let me know? It won't be higher than that, guaranteed. Quote
Tober Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The final product is an assembled unpainted kit isn't it? Quote
Spitfire_BR Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 OH HAPPY DAY !! John is back, Thanks God !!!! Nice to see you back, dear Captain, you're welcome ! captain america Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 I'll leave this open until the 18th. If I haven't amassed sufficient interest by then I'll just move on to other things. Quote
CoryHolmes Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 How many confirmeds do you have and how many more do you need? Quote
