Jefuemon Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 On Amazon Japan, they're showing a release date of December 20th. Already have 2 preordered. Quote
GMK Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 So, what can I build of my stock VF-1A while I wait for the Strike/Super kit to come out? Quote
MechTech Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Somebody needs to tell them there's no school like the old school! I think the 1/48th Strike is going to look great. - MT Quote
Zinjo Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Wow it only took what? 15 Years for Hasegawa to make one? The last 1/48 was that amazing resin kit back in the day... Quote

Jefuemon Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Where can you order just the decals? You need the coupon off of the original instruction sheet, and someone who lives in Japan who's willing to order them for you. Quote
SebastianP Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Someone needs to tell Hasegawa they need to make a VF-11 Battroid in 1/72 - and then an Armored version. Quote
mslz22 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I just realized something looking at the facebook post of the tree breakdown, is this for the fastpacks only? Meaning you need the separate VF-1 kit in addition to these? The reason i ask is that the breakdown of the sprue trees shows the fastpacks and the leg parts you would need to "mod" a standard kit. I know it may just be that they are showing just the new stuff, but also thinking that would a full super/strike kit be only $12-$15 more than than a full standard kit? Meaning full Vf-1 kit is about $32 full with fastpacks about $45? I know may just be having a moment of panic but thought someone who has translated the text may know for sure. thanks mike Quote
Dobber Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I was kind of wondering this too, TBH. However, I don't think they released an S kit yet to use the strike packs with.....unless the just include the S head with the packs.....if it is a packs only kit. Chris Quote
joscasle Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I just realized something looking at the facebook post of the tree breakdown Hey where is these post, can't find it anywhere. Thanks Quote
Berttt Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 That's a good point, well made. But 45 quid for just the FAST packs? That is pretty steep. Plus I have not seen it advertised any where that the base kit is needed. I guess we will have to wait for the box art etc to tell for sure. That's right Hasegawa, Im looking at you. Berttt Quote
electric indigo Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Hasegawa does not want to change the runners of their existing 1:48 Valkyrie and so they include the different leg parts in the runners for the FAST packs. They do that in other aircraft kits all the time. Quote
melanarus76 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Hasegawa does not want to change the runners of their existing 1:48 Valkyrie and so they include the different leg parts in the runners for the FAST packs. They do that in other aircraft kits all the time. Exactly, they aren't going to make new metal molds for the Vf-1S. Just new mold for the Fastpacks. Plus 6 months from now they can sell the fastbacks separately. I read in a translated article that the fastback armor for the 1/48 is the 1/72 armor rescaled so not much work had to be done making the armor for the 1/48. Anyone else read this (forgot where I read it)? Edited November 14, 2013 by melanarus76 Quote
Berttt Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Mmm I am pretty sure that there is more than just scaling up the 72nd scale parts. The breakdown is different and from the CAD it look more detailed. Quote
GMK Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 They've also changed the vertical stabiliser configuration from the 1/72 scale kits - no mid-point fold. Greg Quote
GMK Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Surely Hase will HAVE to do a weapons set now, surely!! Quote
mslz22 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Surely Hase will HAVE to do a weapons set now, surely!! I'm hoping so for certain, I am just worried it will be a year from now.......I'm not getting any younger... Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Holy Frak thats awesome, I am so buying one.... maybe two! Quote
modelglue Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Someone needs to tell Hasegawa they need to make a VF-11 Battroid in 1/72 - and then an Armored version. Amen. The '48 looks great but unfortunately I've more than committed myself to '72nd. I'm really happy though, for all you guys getting so excited about this release. It does look a lot nicer in the larger scale. Quote
JET7 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 they should have bundled the weapons missles..etc....bummer.. Quote
GMK Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It is one fat bird. Looks great in a larger scale - where did you find the pic? Quote
