moonlightdrive21 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 (edited) Hey gang:I know many of you guys are familiar with Ma.K kits and some of the great painters who build them. I learned much more about them more recently and was blown away by how awesome some of the kits are, plus how talented many of the painters are. Many of the hardware and metal painting techniques of course are applicable not just to Ma.K, but to any vehicle model and of course figures and bases that have parts conveying metal. The following link provides a nice summary on Ma.K kits with some great pictures: http://jerseyfestfair.com/?page_id=2787 Edited November 11, 2013 by moonlightdrive21 Quote

Loop Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Wow, major skills. That paint job look fantastic. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 damn, that paint job is hardcore! Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 The paintwork is amazing, but the design itself is a bit of a turd. Its too top heavy, its firing arcs are limited, and too many vulnerable areas are exposed. Land an infantry carried rocket anywhere on the legs and its going down. Hell even a hit to the body would set off all those rockets turning it to slag. Quote
Bolt Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Haha, yeah. I love MAK, always thought of it as a ww2/future look. Most of the gear& craft would get tore up by something like a vf.. Although the Griffon hover craft & the lunar Diver are way bad a$$ Some of the best painters& builders work on MAK & it shows:) Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 lol, I see it as a steampunk regult Quote
Gakken85 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Been thinking about getting a Krote. I have the 1/6 Toys McCoy SAFS and I love it to death. Quote
MechTech Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 The paint on that is top notch! The weathering and rust look realistic, not to mention the "flat paint" fade effects. Just awesome painting! - MT Quote
