Keith Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I was thinking about using a gif for a background. Does that take a lot of battery power? I really want to run a small movie clip. I'd love to do that to, but I think you have to use a special app to make it happen. Quote
Mr March Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 I like it! The framing is perfect for a smartphone. Nice colors too. Got a couple more drawn art pictures with some great colors. Quote
Noriko Takaya Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) Any Macross-y ones sized for an iPhone 5? I very much like Kelsain's. (that's the best new Macross artwork in years, IMHO, it should be EVERYWHERE) What about the UN Spacy kite against a background of stars? The iPhone 5's screen resolution is 640 x 1136 pixels, so this should fit. It is what I am currently displaying. Edited September 7, 2013 by Noriko Takaya Quote
JetJockey Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I still can't believe some company in Japan isn't making a phone with an anime interface. We should have a Macross or Ghost in the Shell themed phone by now. Microsoft had that fairly lame Ghost in the Shell Arise tie in. Quote
Keith Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 There actually are a couple full Macross interface apps, with vocaloid Sheryl and Ranka support, but they're part of monthly services. Quote
Mr March Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 I really like that Harley Quinn wallpaper. Ideal layout for a phone. Quote
JetJockey Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 There actually are a couple full Macross interface apps, with vocaloid Sheryl and Ranka support, but they're part of monthly services. Have a link to the details? But the "monthly services" thing sounds bad. I still want a Macross or Ghost in the Shell designed cellphone. You would think Microsoft would have jumped at the chance for more than just a few tablets in advertisments for Arise. But they have done this sort of thing before in Japan with Xbox and Windows having cute anime girl artwork in the ads. Quote
Keith Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 It was in the Scoopda topic sometime in the last few months. Quote
Mr March Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 Surfing through DeviantArt I found two amazing images for smartphone wallpapers. The two images are near perfect designs for the layout of a four-icon S3. A little bit of rearrangement and some of the icons even merge with the subject's pose within image Quote
JetJockey Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 It was in the Scoopda topic sometime in the last few months. What should I search for. I tried "vocaloid Sheryl" and nothing came up. Quote
Kelsain Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to a 4S this weekend, so this thread is once again relevant to me. (I see no need to spend $200 on the latest model when the 4 is just fine - that's half of a YF-19!) What surprised me is that no one has made a Sharon Apple iPhone case. It seems like such a no-brainer!! Might be time to dust off the Cafe Press account and make one... Quote

JetJockey Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 http://www.macrossworld.com/4964/macross-concier/#more-4964 I remember that on the front page. I'm looking for something more complete. Phone exterior design. OS icons, voices, sounds, menus, etc. Really no reason not to have one for Macross, Ghost in the Shell, Gundam, or any of the more popular tech anime shows. It's amazing to me that I've still only seen Evangelion and Eden of the East cellphones. Quote
Mr March Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 Got a simple new wallpaper, but can't believe I didn't use it before. Enjoy! Quote
Mr March Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Came across some really good paintings on DeviantArt that made perfect wallpapers. Enjoy. Quote
Mr March Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) We most certainly are. I just stopped cause I felt kinda alone in this thread. I love the two you've posted; do you have larger, clean versions of these two images so I can build some for my phone? Edited November 5, 2014 by Mr March Quote
Mr March Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Many thanks! These are great. I'll post a few newer ones here. Quote
Mr March Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Nice shot! The lighting is kinda cool. Quote

MechTech Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Thanks for sharing guys! I got L70 a couple months ago and thought its time to add some Macross! - MT Quote
Mr March Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Ah, very nice. Great art and a good layout too! Quote
Keith Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Back again! Lockscreen patched together, and a shot of my own personal Quiet. Don't you judge me! Quote
Sildani Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 So! Were you ashamed of your thoughts and words? Quote
spanner Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 im using this one at the moment.. although I slightly altered the proportions a little to fit the screen better. Quote
Keith Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 So! Were you ashamed of your thoughts and words? Nope, 'cus we're all diamonds! Quote
Mr March Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 Definitely a "big" way to bring back this thread A fella on reddit recently made several posts showcasing film posters with all the text removed. There are dozens of them and they look amazing. Should make for good smartphone walls. Quote
