Very slight trouble with a 1/48 VF-1J, any ideas?

My 1/48 Super Vf-1J is missing the small plastic "pivot" or detail that represents this detail on the full scale Valkyrie. It is located on the top plate next to the head. These are found on the legs, nose, right in frony of the tail wing assy, and the arms. They have nothing to do with mechanics on the toys. It is that approx. 1/4 inch diameter circular/round, with the bar through it, they enhance the looks of this by painting the detail around it black.

Can you buy these things or will Yamato send out these parts if they are missing?

Sorry I do not know the real name of these things!

They are called "Circle Bar Verniers".

Unfortuantely, getting spare parts out of Yamato is pretty difficult even if you live in Japan. We had a very helpful member here (Monkey Nugget), that lives in Japan try to help members by orderering some spare parts and Yamato gave him a big run around, so he had to stop that service.

Have you checked carefully inside the box and plastic tray? Those things are only lightly glued in, so sometimes they fall off into the box.

If you bought your toy from HLJ, then you can try asking them to get a replacement part from Yamato. Sometimes that works.

If not, a few members here have disassembled broken toys and sold the parts as spares. Maybe one of our members will be able to sell you the part you need.

Good luck
