Dangard Ace Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Not gonna lie. Not feeling any of it from this casting. Unless the story get really good reviews I'll wait until it's free. Quote
Knight26 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Really not feelling it, and that casting doesn't help. Quote
Agent ONE Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I'd like to see this remade as it was in the venture bros. Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I'd love to see anything remade like it was in the Venture Bros. Curious to see how they'll work out the existing family ties some of the characters have. Quote
taksraven Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I don't mind Jamie Bell as an actor, but Ben Grimm?? I-don't-think-so. Quote
electric indigo Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I assume Ben will be fully CG-ed in this movie. Quote
miles316 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Kate Mara is on CBS morning news and she is sporting blond hair so I guess it is happening. Quote
areaseven Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 No updates at the moment, so let's take a look back at the previous Fantastic Four films. Rant from Duel in 5... 4... 3... 2... Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 CinemaSins complaining about flaws that don't exist just to satisfy the sheeple is not worth a rant. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 CinemaSins complaining about flaws that don't exist just to satisfy the sheeple is not worth a rant. Sheeple - LOL In my opinion the FF movies sucked, because I think they sucked, not because of a YouTube review that I have never watched. -b. Quote
Hoptimus Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I am a huge FF fan. Really though only the original run by Kirby & Lee. I thought the first movie was ok but pretty flawed. Torch and Thing were decent but Mister F and Sue were terrible. Doctor Doom had a good actor but I did not like how they shoehorned him into the origin. FF2 was more of the same. This "reboot" does not seem like it is gonna be much better. Quote
Knight26 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I don't dislike those movies because of Cinemasins, I dislike them because they are quite poorly done. Like MMX said, the thing and torch were ok, but the rest was just, meh to oh my god terrible. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I thought those two movies were great. Quote
miles316 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Bad news they finished filming Fantastic Four reboot!!! Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Bad news they finished filming Fantastic Four reboot!!! Well the good news is it'll probably be better than the last two... -b. Quote
Gakken85 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Our only hope is that FOX keeps failing so hard they have to sell the rights. Spider-man was a good step. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Our only hope is that FOX keeps failing so hard they have to sell the rights. Spider-man was a good step. Uh...Spider Man (and Amazing Spider Man was good IMHO) rights belong with Sony. Fox has The Fantastic Four (which has everyone butt-hurt over the casting again) and The X-Men. -b. Quote
electric indigo Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Hopes are high that this will not be your usual FF Movie. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Fantastic-Four-Have-Found-Footage-Feel-43635.html and from Kate Mara: I’ve never been a fan of comics, I’ve never actually read one. I was going to for this movie but the director said it wasn’t necessary. Well, actually he told us that we shouldn’t do it because the plot won’t be based on any history of anything already published. So I chose to follow his instructions. Quote
Marzan Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I don't like what I see so far from this reboot. I think this might bomb hard. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 And then people will complain it ended the comic book movie bubble or whatever. Quote
areaseven Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Meh. The producers are trying too hard to make this reboot bad. Have any of you guys seen the 1994 version (video on page 1 of this thread)? Quote

I'm having a hard time believing that this is even going to be better than the 2005 version. Edited August 7, 2014 by mikeszekely Quote
electric indigo Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Judging from his previous movie, the director has a very different approach to the superhero genre. Which is a good thing. After all, how many additional lycra-clad action figures do we need on the big screen? Quote
mikeszekely Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 After all, how many additional lycra-clad action figures do we need on the big screen? All of them. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 All of them. LOL - no. Kind of ambivalent about this FF reboot, it's far too easy to attack the casting choices on appearance compared to legacy Fantastic Four (and The Human Torch doesn't have me in a tissy like most people) but until there's a good grasp on the background story and plot of the movie I'll withhold judgement. -b.
