Hi,

Does anyone know how much is the market price for a Yamato VT-1 Super Ostrich V1? The item has been open, but it is complete, with original box in good condition.

Thanks.

PS: If anyone is selling one of this (or version 2) please let me know!

I'm not sure about V1 but V2 will cost a pretty penny for you. I was lucky enough to get one from my GF on a HLJ sale for $150. Had I known the after market value for these guys, I would have picked up 10. Watch out for the V2 shoulder cracks due to the pin hinge problem. Mine had one straight out of the box. Hold off for a bit buddy cuz I have a feeling Arcadia will re-release them, assuming they still have the Yamato molds. No valkyrie is worth $300 with a cracked shoulder or any part for that matter.

crack shoulders shouldn't be a sticking point especially with the shapeways replacement parts. 90% of Vt-1 version 2 has the cracked shoulders so i wouldn't be scared off by cracked shoulders alone w/ readily avail solutions.

but i agree it will cost at least 350 in the current market. i wouldn't bother w/ any verision 1's. not worth it imo

for that i would just save and get a v. 2 for 350

dont think any v.1 should be over 100

Thanks for answering to my topic.

What do you think about this:

Super Ostrich version 1:for 150USD shipped.

Is it a good deal?

no.

Since it's something that I'd definitely pretty much keep in fighter mode, I'd pay maybe $50 for a V1, and then maybe a 50% markup on it being something other than a basic VF-1. So, $75 sounds pretty fair.

I don't think that's a good deal for you. It's way too high for a v.1, especially consigering you could've gotten one of the renewal 25, or the new Arcadia version VF-1 series for about the same. I wouldn't be able to justify that purchase in my opinion, but it really comes down to how much you want it.

Unless you're a person who can settle for a lower quality product, i guess a v1 is okay for $50 imo. But if you're like me and have seen the v.2 Ostrich, there will be a feeling of regret everytime you look at your v.1 Ostrich.

I'm glad i got mine when i did when it was easily available and at its lowest price (and i'm also glad i got original replacement hinges) coz even if Arcadia releases this, i don't think i'd be happy paying the JPY20,000-25,000 that they are gonna ask for it, even if it comes with a stand and option parts (w/c i don't need coz my Ostrich only transforms between Fighter and Half-GERWALK).
