Kurono_Rav Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Hi, i am really new to the Macross franchise and was interested in getting Macross 30.I just wanted to know a few things before buying it.How does the story mode work?Is it mission after mission then restart the campaign or can you select a specific mission at any time like AC5?Also I have heard that this game has a original storyline but are there any additional missions or DLC which enable you to play through specific parts of the show i.e. the ending of DYRL.Also are the songs from the shows present such as Minmay's "Little white dragon"?Thanks! Also are the songs from the shows present such as Minmay's "Little white dragon"? well we have other threads in this section for this but to answer your initial questions-- 1. The main Story missions progress one after the other but usually involve going to a specific location on the map or inside a location, which lets you fly around large parts of the map doing Hunter Guild side quests or just bumming around shooting at things. 2. Yes, the game has an original story that is quite good actually... if you can at least understand a modicum of Japanese and have Google translate on standby. And so far, the only DLC and likely the ONLY DLC are three custom colored Valks. I think you can get one of them with any version of the game but if you get the LE you can get the 30th Anniversary Minmay/Mylene VF-1S, the Sheryl/Ranka VF-25 and the Sheryl/Ranka YF-29. These Valks are speced to the start of the game so you can use them without it being too game-breaking. And no, no DLC where you play through scenarios from the shows, though Macross The Ride's Valkyrie Vanquish Races make an appearance. 3. There are a limited number of songs present but you can use the menus to insert custom tracks. You could even make Basara sing "Danger Zone!" Songs included-- Planet Cradle & Wandering, new songs by Haruka Chisuga, voice of Mina Forte in the game Ai Oboete Imasuka Fake version of Arkan Fake version of Voices (why they couldn't get these two songs I have no idea) Information High TRY AGAIN PLANET DANCE MY FRIENDS Iteza Gogo Kuji Don't Be Late Seikan Hikou Sayonara no Tsubasa The other threads on here (spoilers ahoy) should also help as well as J.F.
