Gakken85 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Ive cancelled tons of HLJ orders haha. But I've bought so much I doubt they care. Quote
eriku Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) "more or less around 12/05" is what Mr. K said. Edited December 3, 2013 by eriku Quote
Benbot Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Uhg, I have overextended myself with other purchases, so I think I'm going to have to cancel my preorder. Should I feel bad, or will there be plenty of opportunities to get a DYRL Fokker VF-1S in the coming months/years? Quote

Should I feel bad, or will there be plenty of opportunities to get a DYRL Fokker VF-1S in the coming months/years? It's made to order, meaning, the amount that got preordered is the amount released. If there's stock left after the release is from cancelled preorders, no more will be made unless Arcadia makes another run. who is Mr. K? He's an Arcadia employee who tweats info about Macross releases. Great guy. I think he's secretly Graham, hahaha j/k Quote

Should I feel bad, or will there be plenty of opportunities to get a DYRL Fokker VF-1S in the coming months/years? it's arguably the most iconic variable fighter in the Macross franchise.....you'll be able to get one at some point....there were at least 3 DYRL VF-1S Fokker releases from Yamato before they went under...I think you'll get at least another chance... At worst, the prices for the Yamato DYRL VF-1S Fokker will probably start to fall even more..........so you can always get one of those (and it's off-white...if you prefer that)... Quote

Valkyrie addict Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 haha, I know, but for me, he's the guy that keeps tweating about Macross and soup. Quote
skullmilitia Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Isn't he also one of their engineers if I remember? Quote

Wait, so is this confirmed to be the same white as the Yamato TV valks? Quote
Falcon18 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 It's confirmed to be whiter than the off-white DYRL? Yamato valkyries. So highly likely it'll be as white as the TV valks. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 btw what are you guys seeing for shipping costs on your VF-1S from various retailers and methods? It'd be "nice to know" going forward as the VF-1S i'm sure has the same box size and weight as any VF-1 going forward. EMS from amiami to me (east coast USA) - 4000Y, SAL from amiami to me (east coast USA) - 3850Y, EMS seems a no brainer in this case at amiami. Quote
eriku Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 EMS shipping charge from Nippon-Yasan to me (Minnesota): 3200Y I thought that was pretty decent for EMS. Quote
Vi-RS Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I paid 4510 yen via Fedex Express for 3 Arcadia VF-1 valkyries last month. Edited December 4, 2013 by Vi-RS Quote
grymg Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) I paid $158 at NY total for SAL registered. Thought it was a great deal since they accept USD$ and I don't have to pay that paypal yen conversion fee. Edited December 4, 2013 by grymg Quote

skullmilitia Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Got my payment notification from HLJ, and threw it in my PW and immediately Shipped it FedEx right away! Woot! Macross box of goodies heading this way! Quote

Mechapilot77 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 hmm seems like amiami = bend you over on shipping. live and learn.. Quote
typev3 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 hmm seems like amiami = bend you over on shipping. live and learn.. Eh, it sort of evens out. Amiami's had a bigger discount on the MSRP, which was 14400Y. HLJ's price was 15120Y. The end result is about the same. Quote

Scyla Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Payed and sent onto the stack. Have to wait for a few items till I'm able to ship it. Quote

The end result is about the same. I've been saying this for a long time, what they discount they make up on shipping, they just pull that rouse to lure in more people to them. Why I stay with HLJ, in the end, HLJ's black friday deal made it better than any other seller. Quote
Mommar Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 If people are getting payment/shipping notifications surely that must mean some people in Japan have got their hands on the new release and done a comparison to the old Yammies? Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Want to see the difference in their new off white and if the improvement seen in the VF-1J 30th are carried over to this new valks. Quote
senzan Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 8 items at buyee awaiting shipping, 3 items at HLJ... I should probably stop buying for a couple of weeks Quote
Loop Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Starting to wonder if I should just ship this with my GFFMC Banshee that I have in my private warehouse, I kinda wanted to wait for a few more items but I am getting antsy lol. Quote
Loop Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 It cost me ¥4,430 to ship both the Roy and GFFMC Banshee together from HLJ and that was Fedex. Quote
skullmilitia Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Ha that's funny, it cost me the same to ship Roy, about 10 macross mags, some WAVE stands, and a box of 1/100 fighters. It's a deal compared to everywhere else I shop. Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) ¥3,950 with SAL to Sweden... thats about ¥250 too much but what the heck. Edited December 7, 2013 by YF-29 Durandal Quote
eriku Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Anyone get a shipping notice or status change from Nippon Yasan yet? I paid them on 11/15 and haven't heard a thing since. Quote
