Kanedas Bike Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Iron Man doesn't need to turn his head. He's invincible. Batman kind needs to watch out for punches and crowbars..... ... just ask Jason haha. Awww...Death in the Family. -b. Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) You know, I didn't realize this until re-watching the cartoon version of the Dark Knight Returns again, (which I think is the best Batman movie ever made by the way) but when the Mutant leader almost kills Batman in the landfill/mud pit, he's using a crowbar. And that's right when Carrie shows up to save him. I must have read the comic100 times and never got this symbolism! They mention Jason in the comic/film several times in reference to his death and how Batman deals with it. Frank Miller was such a great comic writer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jryXbaOCPmk#t=142 Edited July 25, 2014 by Gakken85 Quote
EXO Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Well, the Iron Man suit is restrictive cuz it's armor. The stuntman couldn't move. When they made the suit for the 1st movie, they built a full suit. The guy inside had to walk slowly to avoid popping off the parts and cuz the stuntman couldn't move. As for the Winter Soldier, he wore a wrapping around his arm that actually looked like the actual cyborg arm but with motion capture dots on it. This is why I liked Nolan's approach and he just seperated the damn cowl from the neck. No need to CG it. Nlan's bats still couldn't turn his neck... plus that suit sucked.. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Nlan's bats still couldn't turn his neck... plus that suit sucked.. Agreed. The suit in Batman Begins sucked, one reason why being he couldn't turn his neck. The suit in Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises was awesome, speaking from a mobility and aesthetic stand-point. -b. Gakken85 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Hmmm I'd have to go back and see the comic... seems too close to be a random connection. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/batman-v-superman-henry-cavill-clark-kent-costume-1201254938/ Quote
azrael Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 See, told you they were bringing something to SDCC (spoiler'd for size) As well as a new full body pic of Bats and the previously posted pic of Supes. And they showed a very brief teaser which you can find a description here: http://www.superherohype.com/news/310477-comic-con-warner-bros-pictures-panel-live-blog http://www.firstshowing.net/2014/comic-con-2014-live-warner-bros-hall-h-panel-kicks-off-saturday/ http://www.slashfilm.com/batman-v-superman-teaser-trailer-description-comic-con-2014/ Quote

Gakken85 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Looks great. Can't wait to see what HT does with it. Quote
Greyryder Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I know I've said this before, but I really wish they'd stop using that textured fabric for superhero costumes. Back in the 90s I bought a BMX bike, that had a similar fabric on the seat. It's all I can think of, when I see these super-suits. Quote
azrael Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 We'll have to wait till someone posts the video but here's one little spoiler: Armored Batsuit, based on Frank Miller's TDKR suit Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 There is a pic of wonder woman floating around. Quote

Black Valkyrie Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 The Bat suit : Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Quote
Tking22 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) I love the new Bat-Suit, but I really dislike Wonder Woman's look, too boring and dark, I mean I hope it's just because of the ash and dark grittiness, but there's not enough color for me. I want this, Wonder Woman needs some more color, look at the new Superman suit, it's much brighter, hopefully her costume isn't finalized yet. Edited July 27, 2014 by Tking22 Quote
Hikuro Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Yeah looks like 300 haha Well......you gotta understand where the history of wonderwoman comes from afterall....she belongs in that mythology of the Spartans. As for me, I don't dig the gal in the suit....I want someone with some muscle to her! I'll wait and see what else they put in there before I go "Dammit this isn't right." The only thing I like was the nod to Frank Miller's batman armor. Quote
Old_Nash Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) Teaser!!! (with a bad quality...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn4fBnWy7Ys Edited July 27, 2014 by Old_Nash Quote
Tking22 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Batarmor from The Dark Knight Returns? Indeed, the Bat-Symbol, Bat-Suit, and armored suit look to be directly influenced by Miller's DKR. Quote
Golden Arms Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Awesome. Hopefully we will also get a dkr styled batmobile as well. Quote
The Old Man Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Love the eyes. Very cool. Some serious nerdgasms going on in that hall. Quote
Twoducks Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Love that bat suit!! WW needs to eat some sandwiches. She looks pretty but no way looks like an Amazon warrior. Quote
Kyp Durron Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Love that bat suit!! WW needs to eat some sandwiches. She looks pretty but no way looks like an Amazon warrior. I know, right? I still have no idea what they're smoking, there's no way she knocked it out of the park with her acting skills when she auditioned, and she doesn't have the physique to pull off the look either, IMO. Quote
Mommar Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) I don't think she needs to "eat a sandwhich." That wouldn't help to gain any sort of muscle mass. I did assume that since she's supposed to look like a superhero she would have, at the very least, toned up for the role. A woman doesn't need to be built like a bodybuilde to look strong or powerful. But it appears she didn't even attempt a sort of bikini competition-like physique which would have been at least semi-appropriate. I will give her credit, she doesn't have twig legs. Edited July 27, 2014 by Mommar Quote
Gakken85 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I think she looks fine. I'm not that crazy about superman being as big as he is either. It's supernatural strength so it doesn't really matter how big your muscles are, just be toned. But that's the trend now. We've found ways to push body building to the max and it just doesn't cut it to be in normal shape anymore. Thor is huge, and wolverine is huge, so superman has to be huger. Quote
EXO Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I don't mind the costume but she doesn't look right at all. I mean she looks wrong for the part. Not just the body but the face. And I think she's a pretty girl but nothing about her says Wonder Woman. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I don't mind the costume but she doesn't look right at all. I mean she looks wrong for the part. Not just the body but the face. And I think she's a pretty girl but nothing about her says Wonder Woman. It actually looks like she gained a little weight/mass if you compare her to how she appeared in the Fast & Furious movies. I agree the look, especially in that poster, seems a little off, but maybe they were going for a semi-exotic face and non-American accent (which she has). Either way, the deed is done. -b. Quote
Golden Arms Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I think the Tiara is throwing her face off. It makes her face to appear longer than it really is. Wonder woman was always going to be a very difficult character to bring to the big screen. More than any male character, she has to appeal to both women and men who are both looking for different things from the same character. I think once we she her in some action, she will then be able to put some of the criticism away. Quote
mikeszekely Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I don't get you guys at all. I think that Wonder Woman looks fantastic, and conversely, I don't see how you guys are getting so excited about a dark and blurry trailer of Batman using the Bat-signal to call Superman, even if Batman is armored up with a helmet that has glowing eyes.
