SaitouSad Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) I just got the same notice... not sure if they're just playing it safe. I suspect it's because they've had numerous cancellations close to release date before. Afterall, many folks here cancelled their VF-171CF, VF-27, RVF-25 and possibly the VF-25A CF; And weren't there a fair share of YF-29 30th cancellations too? It would certainly explain the surplus of stocks left in their inventory post release.Though this being a web-exclusive, shouldn't really be the case.Off course this is all just conjecture on my part. Chronocidal Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 New message just came in, they said to disregard the payment request since they confirmed release is in December. Quote
Falcon18 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Maybe they just need earlier upfront payment before the release itself? To get an idea of numbers? Like how the YF-19 requires you to pay 6 months in advance.. Quote
SaitouSad Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 New message just came in, they said to disregard the payment request since they confirmed release is in December. what Chrono said. Funny how this happened heh. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 what Chrono said. Funny how this happened heh. Yep, same happened to me. Quote
Shukenzero Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Paid mine already when I got the notice. Can't wait to get it Quote
XFJ-01A Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Has anyone heard of a Solid Release date for this? Quote
Falcon18 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Nope. Nothing known yet. Most probably end dec. Quote
Gakken85 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) So wait people are paying for it already? so it will be the start of Dec? Mine was paid for by a proxy dealer. I need to find out if he already has it. Edited November 15, 2013 by Gakken85 Quote
Scyla Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) I think NY sent out their invoices a bit overeagerly. The VF-171EX Super Parts had the 25th of December last year. They where also a Tamashii Web exclusive. I assume the release date for the YF-29 will be similar (like late December). New message just came in, they said to disregard the payment request since they confirmed release is in December. Edited November 15, 2013 by Scyla Quote
sreichma Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Kept going back and looking at the picture and it got me. I pulled the trigger and clicked pre-order last night. Not having the "gills" on the side makes it look cool. Quote
Loop Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 For me it's the fact that it's Isamu, it has a new head, and the gills are not painted on. Although the gills don't really bother me like the first time I ever saw the Alto variant. Quote
Falcon18 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Same here. Isamu, new head, gunpod with bayonet and a less "messy" colour overall. Quote
Dark_Ghost Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Release date : 12/21/2013 ^^ Tamashii Web Shop Edited December 2, 2013 by Dark_Ghost Quote
Falcon18 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Awesome! Cant wait for it. Thanks for the info. Quote
typhoon Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I seriously doubt that I will receive my two copies prior to Christmas, but you never know...... Quote
Dark_Ghost Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I seriously doubt that I will receive my two copies prior to Christmas, but you never know......This is really too much just to have for Christmas. December 21 is the date of despatch of Tamashii. In addition it is a Saturday. What makes a date of receipt of stores to 23 or 24 December. With the holiday season, it is likely that stores send it after Christmas. Quote
Falcon18 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Agreed. I'm not expecting it to come till like the last days of December or first week of January. Of course, the earlier the better Quote
OzmaLee74 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Just received payment request from NY. Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) Release date : 12/21/2013 ^^ Tamashii Web Shop When I see this picture I get the notion that it's quadrupedal ...anyways... carry on. Edited December 5, 2013 by YF-29 Durandal Quote
mechaninac Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Just received payment request from NY. Same here... 21st of December deadline for payment. Quote
sreichma Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) I paid for mine yesterday, I also reached Bandai's Regional Office and explained I wanted to do a review. They are going to get me mine by 12/10/2013. Just Kidding. I did pay for it yesterday though. Edited December 6, 2013 by sreichma Quote
Falcon18 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I was about to believe you till I saw that blank area under your post  Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Payed for mine, my first Bandai Frontier valk, I'm pretty much buying it for the "scalping potential", really hope this thing is worth the 180+ pricetag and they fixed those wonky flaws from the previews YF-29's. Quote
senzan Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Payed for mine, my first Bandai Frontier valk, I'm pretty much buying it for the "scalping potential", really hope this thing is worth the 180+ pricetag and they fixed those wonky flaws from the previews YF-29's. My Focker YF-29 just arrived and I believe its an improvement over the Alto version - which I don't own yet and am still debating whether or not to pick it up. Given Bandai's history I expect even further improvements will be made to the Isamu version. Quote
Chronocidal Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I'm just hoping they molded the thing in colors that make sense this time.. the silly paintschemes on the previous two required them to essentially mold the thing in one color, then paint over half of it. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I'm just hoping they molded the thing in colors that make sense this time.. the silly paintschemes on the previous two required them to essentially mold the thing in one color, then paint over half of it. unless they made new shutoffs in the mold i'm sure this thing will be molded the same way. however ,this decos seems to need less paint. i cancelled my order for this months ago but i may be drawn back in....it looks so good! Quote
Falcon18 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Probably just molded in the base colour and everything else will be painted (black stripes etc). Given Bandai's recent offerings of the VF-25A and the 25G super parts, I have a feeling we'll see an improved version in this YF-29, i.e not having the flaws of the previous ones. I do hope I'm not wrong Quote
