xrentonx Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Transparent plastic would be cool but I find that stuff cracks easy. Quote
aaajin Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Right! That would be pretty sweet. -b. Ditto! Arcade style Max & Miriya clear 1A's would be great..but did bandai's clear VF-25 sold well? I was away from the board/Macross that time... Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Honestly, it's been so long since I've actually watched that scene - I just remember most of the match being 1A's. Re: whether or not Bandai's clear v1 25F, or any clear, Valkyrie related items have sold well. I dunno, IIRC most of them were limited releases but I'm sure someone else can chime in on how well they may have done for Yamato and Bandai. edit to add - IF this, that and the other fall into place and a transparent release from Arcadia happens then I hope the plastic holds up. It goes w/out saying that brittle plastic or other issues would be pretty sucky. -b. Edited January 31, 2014 by Kanedas Bike Quote
skullmilitia Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 MrK tweeted that gray molded kits are a possibility. Well I guess it all depends on what one finds interesting. Nothing wrong with having a wish or two or three or four. Right? -b. I'm not looking down on your choice, I'm just saying the CF type color schemes in just different colors aren't Very appealing, Alaska base being one.. Is still pretty boring. Good for the collectors, but boring for people wanting More range in designs. Quote

Lorindor Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 What was weird about that scene was that they started out in 1As, but at the end when Max's pilot pops out of the battroid's head, you can clearly see that he's in a 1J. He probably got a power up! Quote

Good for the collectors, but boring for people wanting More range in designs. No arguments here, I'm not overly fond of the Alaska Base scheme either, mostly because I don't have any "feeling" or nostalgia for the design vs the arcade scene where I do. I guess I keep harping on the Hasegawa partnership because I think that would be the best bet for Arcadia to put out some cool (cool-ish) non-cannon paint schemes. I'd be down for some low visibility schemes, hell the only 1/48 VF-1 from my original collection that I didn't sell a few years back was the first Low Vis VF-1A. I like this thread because it lets us just articulate those "wouldn't it be cool if" ideas that bounce around in our head/imaginations. It'd be even more cool if some of those realistic, or pie-in-the-sky wishes made their way into reality. -b. He probably got a power up! -b. Quote
bforbryan Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Please pardon the caps.. ARCADIA PLEASE REISSUE THE VF-4G! YOU WILL MAKE LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY! Quote

YF-29 Durandal Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 VF-0D is "dangerous for new company to do, but there is motivation for it" So don't hold your breath. 2015. The Macross Zero stuff didn't sell well the first time around. Theres the reason to not sell it for $300. Quote
Reïvaj Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 That's actually THE reason for having to sell them for $300 to the hardcore fans. The only other possibility would be having NOTHING at all. Quote
close313 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I think that Mr K said that to eliminate all suspicion until the time to announce was right. Quote

VF5SS Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 At least a high end VF-0D would be a really impressive piece. Try getting something from other boutique manufacturers like Volks and you end up paying 16,000 yen for something like this http://collectiondx.com/toy_review/2010/compatible_kaiser Quote
skullmilitia Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 We both know that you meant that there would be no VF-0D. I didn't mean anything, I was relaying what the designer had said on twitter. Even though everything pointed to the 0D, I was going off of what he said. Why does it matter? I don't work for Arcadia. Quote
xrentonx Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Seriously? You're holding him to something Mr K put out on Twitter? Quote
VF5SS Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Impressive clown shoes... You guys have a terrible clown fixation here. You see clowns everyday every night everywhere. Quote

DeductiblyBonkers Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Either an FB 2012 VF-4G or the VF-3000. Give me those and I'll be set. A TV SDF-1 would be nice too. Edited February 9, 2014 by DeductiblyBonkers Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I've said it once I'll say it again...a Battle 7 the same size as the 1/3000 SDF-1 Macross. Quote
JetJockey Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Top wish would be DYRL VF-1S Max version with weathering and slight battle damage. 1/48 or 1/60 doesn't matter. Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 More fast or strike packs $50 was a good price but now they are insane on eBay Quote
Tking22 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) I just need a 1/3000 TV SDF-1, like that's it, some re-issue VF-1s would be nice too. If I was pressed as to what new mold I would like to see, how about some VF-14 Vampire action? Edited February 11, 2014 by Tking22 Quote
