Tochiro Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 No price announced as of yet, but great news nonetheless! http://augustragone.blogspot.jp/2013/06/science-ninja-team-gatchaman-flies.html Quote
Gubaba Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Honestly? I'd prefer Gatchaman II and F on DVD... Quote
taksraven Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 They had better do some restoration work on it otherwise it won't be worth the effort/cost. I would love to see the original Yamato series 1 and 2 on blu-ray. Quote
myk Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 They should include the far less popular 90's Gatchaman in that collection. It'd be nice to see Jun's naked body during transformation in hi-def... Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I was there at animeboston when this got announced. The crowd cheered, but I never posted anything about it here, because I figured everybody already knew. Quote
JetJockey Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 They had better do some restoration work on it otherwise it won't be worth the effort/cost. I would love to see the original Yamato series 1 and 2 on blu-ray. I can't see why these would be simple upscans seeing as restored versions were released in Japan. But I didn't read reviews of the Japanese release. I think it was very expensive. They should include the far less popular 90's Gatchaman in that collection. It'd be nice to see Jun's naked body during transformation in hi-def... The article says that the OVA is included. But the Jun scene has a bunch of light effects if I remember correctly. I'll probably get it for Christmas. Quote
