AlphaOne Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Damn that looks good. The gray feet and everything looks flawless (no purple hue this time). April's not coming soon enough. Edited January 29, 2014 by AlphaOne Quote
vf_1s Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 so will the cockpit rotate like the vf-19? Quote
Mommar Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 so will the cockpit rotate like the vf-19? I believe that was answered quite awhile ago. Something to do with the hinges of the cockpit prevent that gimmick from working the same was what I last understood. Quote
Mommar Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The gimmick would be useless. Since they're largely using the same mold it's possible the cockpit still does rotate, you just can't access it because of the way the canopy works. Quote
Reïvaj Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 No, it's not the same mold. Mr-K said yesterday that as it's a two seat cockpit there's not enough room for it to rotate. The external hatch will still be there but IDK if it counts as a gimmick. Quote
Reïvaj Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I like the new canopy color. Yeah, I like it too. I also think the intakes are probably the best we've seen in a toy. Quote
Dobber Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 ?............ Is HLJ more reliable in terms of receiving the preorder because you have to pay now? THANKS! You do not pay now or pre-pay with HLJ. You pay when the item is available. Either way you should be fine with AmiAmi...plus they (amiami) are more difficult to cancel orders with and they frown upon it. FYI,HLJ is very simple as you can simply go into your account and just cancel there. No muss no fuss. Chris Quote
CrazyDude Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Hobby Search also frowns at cancelling orders or pre-orders. I don't think both hold a large stock in house like HLJ does, their warehouse is massive. Quote
mechaninac Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Where the new YF-19 is concerned, since it's built to order, availability isn't an issue; if your preferred web shop has preorders open and you reserve one, barring some extraordinary snafu on Arcadia's part, you're guaranteed to receive a copy. Any stock around after release will likely be due to last minute cancellations and no-pays; this should work out the same as Yamato's VF-4G. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) All the pics together: Very cool - thanks for posting these. Edit to add; Like Scream Man said I'd also love to see some side profile pictures of fighter mode with the landing gears up. -b. Edited January 30, 2014 by Kanedas Bike Quote
bforbryan Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I tried to preorder on HLJ and was directed to the paypal payment page so I thought you had to prepay. Thanks for the clarification. Will definitely keep that in mind for future purchases. Quote
CrazyDude Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 HLJ is my fav online store, they do everything by the book though. No adjusting package values on declarations, etc. Rainbow 10 also used to be good but they shut their online business. Quote
AlphaOne Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hopefully the chest, backplate, and shoulders' paint will be the same color hue, it looks like they're still a little off (well aware that this is still a T3 sample). Quote
close313 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Yea. Every shot I've seen of this new YF-19 has the wings not swept forward far enough. Hopefully it's just a flukeWell, considering that the wing is on so many hinges due to the high speed mode, maybe it can allow it to be more swept forward to your liking. For me i like it as it is.i like that the front part of the LERX is attached to the back of the hips instead on the side of the torso, makes it different from the VF-19's. Yamato/Arcadia has been doing a very good job in matching the paint on diecast. Usually you can't tell much from the naked eyes, but photograph will make it pops. Quote
Mommar Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Well, considering that the wing is on so many hinges due to the high speed mode, maybe it can allow it to be more swept forward to your liking. For me i like it as it is. i like that the front part of the LERX is attached to the back of the hips instead on the side of the torso, makes it different from the VF-19's. I hope the wings in all modes somehow lock into place and it isn't just a friction joint. I could see that becoming loose, especially depending on how it's stowed/angled in Battroid. Yamato, and now Arcadia, have had to fudge the transformation of that part on both the VF-19 and now the YF-19 though it looks more accurate here on the YF-19 even if the transformation still isn't quite so. It's easier to do it this way on the YF-19 then the VF-19. Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Well that is something that I never went through the mental gymnastics to think about: Hardpoints in battroid. Looks alright folded, and I suppose ok extended if you were in space. I imagine it being quite cumbersome to do that in atmosphere. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 He's teasing me w/ that blue little fighter on the side Quote
Froy Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I hope those no steep marks be tampo printed on the final product Quote
Falcon18 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Those no steps seem stickered. Also hope that the wings swing up more. Doesn't look angled enough on the fighter pics imo. That and the kite isn't straight =/ Else, great looking as ever. Quote
wm cheng Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 PLEASE waterslide decals as well if they're not all tampoed... Quote
3D-Brainx Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 He's teasing me w/ that blue little fighter on the side Haha what about the special ZERO pepsi on the right?? I think we are giving it too much thought Quote

jvmacross Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Perhaps the VF-19P is a hint that another Zolan/D7 valk is in the works? or.... or even..... Quote
xrentonx Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 0D gummy figure AND Pepsi Zero? I'm starting to become a true believer here, guys Quote
evolution_ayu Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I don't have my VF-19 to compare but the back of the hip joint looks disconcertingly thin. I just hope the (still) ugly ankle joints are fixed and maybe a crotch plate that locks in Battroid. Can't wait for April! Quote
Raptor One Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) Oh wow that wings out battroid pose looks nice! Reminds me of Dragonar somehow. Might have to display it like that every once in a while Edited January 31, 2014 by Raptor One Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 PLEASE waterslide decals as well if they're not all tampoed... This! Waterslides like the ones included with their VF-1 releases. They look a lot better than stickers. Quote
Loop Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I kinda wish they used magnets to hold the wings in position in battroid instead of friction maybe in fighter too. Whatever this thing is sexy and I am glad I got 2 on pre-order. Quote
SuperSenpai Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I finally took the plunge and pre-ordered one of these. If you could have heard my internal monologue over the past year, it would have sounded something like this: "Meh, I don't even like the YF-19 design anyway. Thought it looked like a flying turkey when I saw it in the anime." "I'm not fond of the YF-19 design, but that battroid mode looks pretty sweet." "You know, the YF-19 design is actually not bad... the fighter mode even looks kinda sleek." "I kinda like the YF-19 design, but the Arcadia release is pretty pricey... eh, I'll just order my YF-29 and get my Isamu fix." "Oh wow, look at those prototype pictures." "Hmm... my YF-29 looks kinda lonely in the Detolf... needs something else." "Screw it, where the pre-order link?!?" Quote
