wmkjr Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Thank you Reivaj. I must have been fixated on the 3 comparison pics to realize the line art side view was there just a few posts up. Quote

CRYO Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Wow, official priced 34440 yen, release in Apr 2014. Quote
Scyla Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) At least it is not 40,000 Yen. Tasty ramen diet incoming. Would not be to bad. I can deal with that. Edited September 23, 2013 by Scyla Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) The yf-19 w/ fastpacks is officially priced 32,800yen according to cybergundam blog (without tax) http://blog.yahoo.com/_ED274AZGFINLESDVVHRADMVIMU/articles/1256661/index Edited September 23, 2013 by davidwhangchoi Quote
close313 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Not counting store discounts, it might reach 30k Yen or below. But taking account of the potential enormous shipping price, we're back to square one. At least we can start planning our savings now. Edited September 23, 2013 by close313 Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) 34000 yen thanks, cybergundam is wrong, higher price... boo corrected (thanks Dark Ghost) 32,800 yen Edited September 23, 2013 by davidwhangchoi Quote
GU-11 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 That's about a thousand buck in local dollars for me. No way I'm buying this online. The shipping cost and taxes will totally put this beyond my budget, unless I cancel most of my pre-orders and buy absolutely nothing starting from today...which is not likely to ever happen. Even if I buy it at a local hobby store, 1000 bucks is really pushing my fig funds to the limit, what with a home theater system and PS4 still on my list. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 i'm getting 2 instead of three, April is my b-day so i have an excuse to disposable income. i just hope the yen to usd doesn't hurt by the time 2014 rolls around. i think i'm going to try to find a place to pay upfront before the yen changes at least for one bird... Dark_Ghost Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) thanks, cybergundam is wrong, higher price... booNo, Cybergundam right. ¥34440 is included tax (¥32,800 without taxes). Cybergundam always give prices without taxes Edited September 23, 2013 by Dark_Ghost Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I was expecting it to be priced higher than the VF-4. I'm not that shocked. Still plannig to get two. Will cancel my VF-25A CF preorder though. Quote

Kelsain Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 April, huh? Right about the time I should be closing on this house. Greeeeaat... Quote
SaitouSad Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 jesus.. that price..it's close to what I originally expected... but it's still a pretty penny. at least I have till April to save up.. Quote
wm cheng Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Let's just hope they don't do pre-order shanagans like Bandai. Quote
master of macross Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 no no no...crazy price for this product...ARCADIA bye bye... Quote
Froy Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Told you, there was no way for this to be under 300 bucks , guess I will be getting just one. no no no...crazy price for this product...ARCADIA bye bye... Actually the price is not that bad for the amount of things in the bundle. The Yamato super packs for the was a robbery. The price for the new releases VF-1 are quite high too. Edited September 23, 2013 by Froy Quote
AlphaOne Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I'm nabbing two of these. I've been budgeting for these to be $400+ since this thing's been announced Quote
Tober Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I was expecting around $300 somewhere. Given store pre-order discounts that should be roughly right. Quote
Mommar Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 It sucks for the many people who can't afford one but anybody who was expecting it to be anything less than 300 really needs to get a grip on reality. Quote
usagiz Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I'll take one, the high price will just eats into my bandai valk budget!! ( I'm still miffed at bandai for selling us the vf-171cf with the lack of quality! ) And Arcadia, no exploding or missing parts please! Quote
master of macross Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 for me, this model can not cost more than the vf4g, in my opinion the best valkyria ever, as the design, such as design, finishes and how, more than 30000 yen list price is too high ... surely I will take one, but start arcadia to hate for this ... Quote
eriku Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I paid right around $300 for CM's Legioss & Tlead when it was first released so that automatically disqualifies me from making any disparaging remarks about the price for this. Quote
SaitouSad Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Damn... I'm contemplating selling one of my YF-19 yammies to help fund this... Or perhaps my extra VF-1 Fast/Strike pack... I wonder if these will end up like how the VF-1J end up now, having plenty of leftovers available (at least last I checked it was) Quote
Mommar Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I wonder if including all of the extra accessories will wind up being a problem or if subsequent releases will forgo the additional stuff for a cheaper package. Quote
OmegaD3k Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Unlike the Bandais, plenty of these will be available for months, if not a year after release, so anyone can easily save up for one or more (especially when there are HLJ sales). The price is a lot lower than what was predicted here, and seems somewhat reasonable, considering the average price of these things, and the tons of accessories that come with this. Over the course of next year I’ll definitely pick up 3. Quote
technoblue Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Phew! I like the April release. The price (although top-tier) isn't horrible, considering everything that will come with the figure. I plan to buy one only, and that will make saving up for this easier too. Unlike the Bandais, plenty of these will be available for months, if not a year after release, so anyone can easily save up for one or more (especially when there are HLJ sales). The price is a lot lower than what was predicted here, and seems somewhat reasonable, considering the average price of these things, and the tons of accessories that come with this. Over the course of next year I’ll definitely pick up 3. Wait. I thought Arcadia was adopting something similar to Bandai's limited release model? Has that already changed or is the YF-19 v.2 special and getting a Yamato-style release? That seems expensive, if true. Edited September 23, 2013 by technoblue Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Definite price point I was expecting but not the one I was hoping for. Will get one for sure, probably two, depending if I'm not broke by April. roughly 7 months to put aside extra cash. I'm not too worried about all the extra parts, they are all small parts, the FP are only 4 pieces of plastic and the rest is all missiles so they can all go in a not too thick plastic housing like they always do with bundles, I just hope they try to make the box as sleek as the bird to help out on shipping. The scan there is a little dark, hope we get better pictures soon, the Yan figure look superb along with Isamu. No more eye popping Yan. Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 That price is pretty much what I was expecting, especially considering the increase in price on the VF-1's. Quote
UN Spacy Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Pleeeenty of time to save up for this. Quote
