Knight26 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 lucky you that you evidently have $3000.00 squared away to pay for them all... i mean, for something around that sort of scratch, i could have my own custom 1/1 Mikuru-chanā„ made... - sure, clothes would be extra, but that's where the thrifts would come in... So what kind of loser would buy that? It's more pathetic than even a real doll. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 aaaaaaaahhh, i opened this thread and saw this yf-19 is becoming like the arcadia doll web page. NSFW Quote
jenius Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I thought I clicked on the wrong link... what's going on? Quote
MikeRoz Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 There's a reason the new boxes are so big. Quote
m0n5t3r Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I agree... What the hell else would people here on the toy forum be talking about between toy releases!??! maybe info on something that's going to actually be released jk, the photoshop pics are nice!!! so shop away!!! Certainly didn't want to talk about nor see pics of creepy dolls!!! Quote
GU-11 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 furthermore, few at YAMATO or elsewhere seemed to ever realize that one could achieve a vastly superior neutral stance via the stupidly simple expedient of canting the intakes forward at the GERWALK joint just a single notch. it truly allows things to fall right into place nicely for a much more attractive stance, IMHO; - ALAS, mine is no longer capable of transforming from FIGHTER. R.I.P. you fugly old bird... ((YMMV)) Canting the intakes forward? Mind explaining in more detail? I almost never display my YF-19 in GERWALK mode (the fighter mode is just too damn sexy) so I have little experience in that particular mode (GERWALK). Quote
r_hunter85 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Whats up with the cut out on the inside of the leg? I never noticed that before. What is it making space for? Why does it bother me so much? Figure Oh 187 HQ Quote
Dark_Ghost Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Whats up with the cut out on the inside of the leg? I never noticed that before. What is it making space for? Why does it bother me so much? Here's what it is on the YF-19 at Yamato Quote
charger69 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Interestingly Arcadia didn't follow Yamato's application of folding inner leg panels... Quote
mechaninac Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 So, what's the reason for not having the collapsing panel this time around, the inclusion of the leg missile bay? Quote
Renato Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I don't know why they removed the collapsing panel (though I assume it's cost-saving), but that is nothing new. The indentation has been there in all of the M7 VF-19 types Yamato released. The engineering on this toy is basically the same as those, apart from the cosmetic changes to make it look like a 19 (with the exception of high-speed mode). To be honest the gap doesn't bother me -- it did a little bit in the prototype photos before the VF-19kai came out, but now I don't mind it at all. Quote
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) The gap/indentation was is there for the VF-19 variations because of the forearms when its in fighter/gerwalk mode. So it's not like they removed the collapsing panels on the YF-19... Yamato just never implemented them on (or carried them over from the YF-19 onto) the VF-19. Scream Man Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Yeah the indent doesn't bug me either. i accept that some things have to happen because it's a toy, and this is a minor one in the grand scheme of things. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I of course keep hoping for an SHE-style folding panel arrangement someday. (V3.0?) Quote
r_hunter85 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) I think it looks better on the Yamato version. But honestly, its not going to stop me from buying it. lol Thanks for the clarification, everyone. Edited August 30, 2013 by r_hunter85 Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Come on I'm waiting to hit the preorder button!!! Quote
kurdt_the_goat Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 toy-world.com.hk needs to get a better scanner, the 19 looks pee coloured! I colour corrected it a bit: Quote
M'Kyuun Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Looking good. It would've been nice to have the moving panel to accommodate the arms, but the legs on this version aren't as wide from shin to calf as the Yammie, and there wouldn't be room enough for the gear, or just barely, not to mention the internal stores bay. Overall, this version improves on the Yammie in so many other areas that a small indent is negligible. Nice color correction...she's really purty. Wish they'd posted a lower angle photo of the 19 on a stand with the gear up. Looking forward to a slimmer, trimmer fighter. Quote
AlphaOne Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm really really hoping the macross kites are tampo printed on the neck and on the left wing when this comes out, instead of leaving it blank and having us apply it as a decal. Quote
Mommar Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm really really hoping the macross kites are tampo printed on the neck and on the left wing when this comes out, instead of leaving it blank and having us apply it as a decal. Why wouldn't they? Except for the designer who didn't care for the kites on the 17 every other Valk has had them where they should be. Quote
AlphaOne Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) In the off chance they think "leave it blank in case people want 'SMS' instead" Edited September 4, 2013 by AlphaOne Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 In the off chance they think "leave it blank in case people want 'SMS' instead" Don't jinx it Quote
Mommar Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 In the off chance they think "leave it blank in case people want 'SMS' instead" I guess that would be a bummer for some of you guys, and at one time I would have lamented that scenario myself. At this point in time I'm comfortable with, and sometimes prefer, being able to decal my own Valks so it wouldn't personally bother me at this point. I still don't think they will do that, however. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I would prefer tampoed UN Spacy kite in the neck part that splits cause after much handling the sticker tend to peal a bit. Quote
Scream Man Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I dunno how they would do it on the side of the fuselage, because it has to split to transform. But on the wing, yeah i hope so. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hasbro tampo-prints insignias across panel separation lines on transforming toys all the time, Yamato should be able to. Quote
Chronocidal Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Yamato already has, as has Arcadia. The VF-1 has it's markings printed right across the upper and lower half of the nose section. Quote
Scream Man Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Well yes, but that's on a split that is glued and doesnt seperate. This is on something designed to split. if it isnt lined up exact it could stuff up pretty bad Quote
Archer Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Every time this thread gets updated, I get a pit in my stomach, fearing the $400 price tag announcement that will slap me in the face! Quote
Xigfrid Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 It would better not, for our's and Arcadia's sakes: the price tag of 250USD was pretty impressive for the DX VF-27, although it came together with the super parts. I can't imagine myself putting 400USD in a single valk + shippong costs, or at least not without a second thought! Quote

charger69 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 That's a perfect opportunity to design a smaller box!! Quote
areaseven Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 That does look really nice. My Macross collection isn't as big or updated as everyone else's here, but I've sworn to get every YF-19 toy out there. And this will go perfectly with all the 19s I got on display. Quote
