SchizophrenicMC Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) I think Damage Level B just pops the gunpla apart without causing permanent damage. Level C looks like it just turns off limbs and stuff, while Level A is like we see in the original. That was a fun episode though. Return appearances are good, and now I'm really intrigued as to Sekai's origins. Edited December 3, 2014 by SchizophrenicMC
David Hingtgen Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I figure Yuuma has enough skill to repair "normal" damage to Build Burning. Maybe not recreate its uber-particle-abilities from scratch, but surely repair an arm etc. That, or as Schizo said---level B just LOOKS like "real" damage in the playing field, but is just more of a "disassembly" thing in real life.
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 It is worth noting that Sudou says the Japanese National Tournament was the first time he'd played at Level A and his gunpla is shown totally destroyed after that, completely unrecoverable, whereas after a Level B fight we usually see a detached limb or something. That's where I'm getting this. I'm probably wrong on some detail, but that's the general gist I get. I hope they put out an official explanation of how damage level works.
chyll2 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I was excited for this today then I remember, today episode is a beach/fanservice episode. Will still watch it later.
renegadeleader1 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I was excited for this today then I remember, today episode is a beach/fanservice episode. Will still watch it later. I just got done watching it. To be honest its not really all that fanservicy or beach related.
chyll2 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I just got done watching it. To be honest its not really all that fanservicy or beach related. the preview make it out to be, I also finished watching it and it is good the preview for next episode though
Hikuro Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 it was a very cute episode is all I can say.
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I had a feeling Mirai was a secret badass, but I had no idea. And now I really can't wait for next week's episode.

David Hingtgen Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Zaku I would have been an awesome pick, though.
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Yeah, but it wouldn't have been a kawaii-desu tie-in to the last series.
Nekko Basara Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Wife and I absolutely loved the episode this week. It was like the best parts of the Beargguy and Gunpla Boot Camp episodes from season one combined. The way Mirai finished the fight was just perfect - and totally appropriate against the Turn A! BTW, what was up with the Beargguy III kit becoming the Beargguy II? Was that just to sever the connection to China and "Mr" Beargguy? Everything about it was identical to the real kit except the name. Edited December 12, 2014 by Nekko Basara
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I'm fairly certain Mr. Beargguy III is a modified Beargguy II in the original series- the Beargguy II being a spinoff kit from the Beargguy from GBBG- for which the name was made up to be cutesy. (Because Beargguy-San (Mr. Beargguy III) is cuter than Beargguy-Ni) Which begs the question: if the tiny Beargguy from the Beargguy F had a Beargguy Brother, would it be Beargguy-Nii?
Nekko Basara Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 So, the kit we know as "Beargguy III" is "Beargguy II" in Build Fighters? 'Cause there's no such kit as Beargguy II in our world. Sometimes this show makes my brain hurt!

Sometimes this show makes my brain hurt! No, the kit we know as Beargguy III is the beargguy III. in the show, the beargguy III is a custom modded from the Beargguy II kit (which exists as a retail kit in the show but not in the real world). also, so meta:
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 How many Beargguys would a Beargguy bear if a Beargguy could bear guys?
azrael Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I just say this about this week's episode: Never trust a mobile suit that has a smaller mobile suit attached to it. That smaller MS will kick your ass. Every. Time.

areaseven Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Like all SD kits, it's either love-it or hate-it. Awesome gimmicks, though.
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I've been pretty eager for Cerulean to release since it debuted with episode 1. I really dig BACK-ON.
areaseven Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Coming up next: The return of Samurai Boy.
chyll2 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Coming up next: The return of Samurai Boy. the episode is such a tease
SchizophrenicMC Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 (edited) I'm super hyped for next week's episode now. I love the cameos in this franchise. If I'm not mistaken this is the first broadcast appearance of an iteration of Matsunaga. I can dig it. EDIT: I don't normally MAD, but I dig this: Edited December 18, 2014 by SchizophrenicMC
IXTL Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Main cast MS get upgrades Try Burning Gundam, Lightning Gundam Full Burnern and Star Winning Gundam Edited December 22, 2014 by IXTL
chyll2 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Try Burning Gundam = meh upgrades, might include more effects parts though Lightning Gundam Full Burnern = looking good. The back pack looks like the one from Rezel and Star Winning Gundam = imo the best looking upgrade
