areaseven Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) For the first time ever, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger share top-billing in one movie. Escape Plan has them both trying to figure out how to break out of the world's most secure prison. The film premiered at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 18 and in the Philippines on October 9; it opens on October 18 in the U.S. Official Site Edited October 11, 2013 by areaseven Quote

Duke Togo Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Why is Arnold still shooting from the hip? It looks stupid. Quote
areaseven Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) "You hit like a vegetarian." Just came back from watching this movie. If you're expecting to park your brain at the front door, you will be disappointed. This movie requires a lot of logical thinking during the first two acts - something rarely found on any Stallone or Schwarzenegger film. Then the action starts to kick in on the third act. Escape Plan has a bunch of flaws on its script, but it makes for a good action thriller. "Boom." Edited October 13, 2013 by areaseven Quote
Hoptimus Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Thanks A7. I thought it looked pretty interesting I will probably go check this out. Quote
areaseven Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 As expected, the critics are not amused: Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 44% - "As much fun as it is to see Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger team up onscreen, Escape Plan fails to offer much more than a pale imitation of 1980s popcorn thrills." Metacritic Score: 48 out of 100 Quote

Hikuro Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 haven't gotten to watch it, but I plan too. If it's got either of the two I'll go see it in theaters. Quote
peter Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Stallone's in a new boxing moving with DeNiro....looks promising. Arnie's last few movies haven't been too good, hope it's not a sign of things to come for King Conan. Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I still want to see this (after that space movie with the girl from the bus). Quote
